NS--I think I would do what Bumble suggested. Having Ryan clean up the mess would make more of an impression on him than you cleaning it up & then punishing him for it. Good luck--gotta love kids & husbands!

well, after i fumed, i got him to clean it up. which made him late for school. ( i sent a note) i couldn't let him go to school with that mess there, woulda drove me bug all day. when i asked him why he did it, same thing he always says..i donno!

i'll be glad for the pediatrician appt in dec. i know alot of his babybehaviour is because he's wanting attention. drives me crazy when a 4 year old knows where pencil shavings go and an 11 year old doesn't..or just doesn't wanna..

so at lunch, he's taking all his paper and pens out of his room and bringing them downstairs. i can't trust this kid with nothing.


my sister-in-laws hubby is in hosp, the one i mentioned a while ago, with the bone cancer, lung cancer, and tumors? he's been in several days. when admitted was not expected to live a few hours. he's a stubborn bugger. gotta give him credit for that. but it's hard on patsy and the bunch. blair is the only living brother (out of 9 of em) and he can't get up to moncton (car is not working, no money, no time off), and it's driving me crazy because if it wasn't for patsy (the wife, ) and blair's other sisters, we woulda starved one winter.

NS, here is what I would do but sometimes I am just mean. I would clean up the mess and put it in his room somewhere he likes or hang out...like let's say over his book shelf or in a book he likes. He will probably be upset but then he would feel your pain and maybe clean it up together and laugh at it show him how silly it was for him to leave it in the drawer in the kitchen too.

o now that is creative. and something i have never tried.

i really think that different things work, different times with these kids..and doing the same punisment over and over, is like banging your head against the wall. definitely going to try that one if he does it again!

I am sure NS she knows the situation and also knows you guys are with her in prayers and in spirit. It is tough to be far from family when tragedy strikes, but prayers work wonders

I'm here I'm here but I haven't a clue who the friend in Louisiana is with the bread recipe sure isn't me! I've never owned a bread machine and the only bread I've ever made was the frozen loaves you buy at the store and pop in the oven.

Thanks everyone for the words! I've been staying down today when I broke my back it hurt my left ribs and for some reason they just won't heal up, reinjured my back twice and managed to get the ribs again both times lol so guess it's that but the back is so much better but the ribs are hurting up into my chest. Makes it hard to move around so I'm probably going to spend a day or two down but will check in from time to time. Have a great day everyone!

OMG I thought for sure you'd have the secret recipe for
the tasty bread we devoured during our trip to LA - never
had anything so light tasting. The "Po Boys" seemed to
have the same bread whenever we had 'em.

Thanks for the new words everyone!! Halloween tomorrow, and was just informed this morning by the kids that all the halloween candy i bought to hand out is gone...gotta hide it in a better place next time..lol

Off to grab a cup of java I dont usually drink the stuff, but these last few days cant think straight without one...

haun that sounds like one of ryan's tricks..least your a good sport about it.

i'm evil enuf that i would make ryan go around door to door and then pass out his candy to make up for what he took.

well, i was afraid of getting crap from the school. but ryan said he wasn't late, he ran all the way.. (?) can't see that tho..

he was excellent at lunch. of coures, i din't let him out of my site. but i found he's very babyish lately. curled up in the chair with me watching high 5 (wish they had that show instead of barney and teletubbies when he was preschool) and then majic school bus..

it's just a faze right? i mean, he's reverting because...what? scared of changes he's going thru (he's 11), lack of attention cause of dad working so much? no friends around?

dd did that for awhile NS, watched all the little kid shows, when she wanted something would talk like a baby, even went as far as to crawl around the house..drove me up the wall though seeing shes gonna be 10..i think for her she wanted attention as dad was never home working so hard and was having trouble with friends I was busy babysitting..when she started hanging with friends and stuff again got alittle more slowed down, she stopped it, and none to soon for me..once i snapped and said if she wanted to act like a baby i would treat her like one, diapers and all..lol

hopefully its just a faze
