Coyote I think you are handling this very well, all things considered. I dont' have kids myself, but applaud the fact that you do your best to help your kids be self sufficient and stand on their own. I have a co-worker with two boys, 20+23, and she still does everything for them, including making phone calls on their behalf, and financially supporting them. (they still live at home) They don't work, they get ODSP (don't get me started on that!) and have absolutely no drive.. I just can't understand it. But again, like I said, I don't have kids so maybe it would be different, but I think as a parent you would be doing your best to encourage them, and sometimes, that means tough love.. Anyways.. I wanted you to know that I think you are a fantastic Mom, and you'll be a fantastic Grandma too...
RE: Bathroom theme.. my buddy will likely know this already (I think I desribed this??) but most rooms in my house have photo's of travel locations. The bathroom is Paris, France. I am planning, however, to paint my white cupboards an expresso brown, frame in the wall mirror, and add a new countertop. Walls are a very light taupe. I've already bought the vessel sink, have most of the accessories up, but need to get those cupboards out of the way.. Oh.. and make a roman blind... (the list never ends!)
I'll add this to my post on Page 26....
P.S. Have a VWT train, prize is 2 movie passes for Empire if anyone is interested. I won't use them, figured I'd pass them along to someone who can....

I totally understand! My BF uses the top of the fridge as a garbage can.. can anyone explain to me why we need to put our empty styrofoam cups, popcorn wrappers, empty crisper bag & old margarine tub with remnants of last weeks lunch up there??? I mean, the garbage is under the sink.... 6 feet away! I swear if he lived on his own, he'd be one of those hoarders who keep garbage!

Coyote, take your time in absorbing the news. I'm pretty sure you won't be able to help but be upset, sad, disappointed, happy, joyful, etc. all in the next while and probably all at once. If I were in a similar situation (thank god, my baby is only 15 mths old... can she stay like this forever?)... I'd freak, probably scream & cry and throw scenerios in my head all day about how they'll deal, is the baby going to be taken care of well, and all the what if's. But know it's normal, and I think all things happen for a reason.
We are all here for you and hope everything goes well for everyone.

Well, if they move nearer what can do is provide free sitting only and only if they are both going to either further educate themselves or find solid jobs. Mamawon't be able to work for a while so the push will be for my son to further educate himself while working part time or find a job that will be sufficient to support his new family. I would also like to have his girlfriend go back to school once she is ready and would fully support it so that they both have a brighter future.
I will of course be couponing for baby stuff now lol. She is not due until October so I will wait a few months and see how this all is going to work. My home is not large enough to take in 3 more people so finding affordable housing for them is going to be quite the challange. SEE, I am doing it already..... they need to do some of the work and need to back away a bit and let them make their grown up decisions. I should offer suggestions and not be the director . I certainly don't want to my future DIL to be at odds with a controlling MIL. OMG I am so not ready for this .

where is everyone? I made my daily amount for the bonus on Swag Bucks today for the first time ever. Yay me.
hubby's in a snit for some reason but won't spill it - whatever. I just worked 3 x 12 hour backshifts - you don't want to be messing with me.
Slammy - I got my Hungry Girl cookbook today. So excited!
Good mail day - got my order from Amazon.ca (which was free of course
) One of my $20 Pepsi/Superbowl coupons, Last 2 envies for the train I am running, 2 envies home to me from trains I am riding, a package from our ELS provider at work that included a book on how to deal with teens and other literature - pretty neat. Our first cable bill from the new company and of course it isn't what they promised so I will be on the phone to them in the morning. And a bill for the Pipe Band that I had lost and was just about to email them to resend - she read my mind.
