Go these last night at my local SportMart store. They are closing on the 31st and all items are 70% off the lowest ticketed price, plus we have the 10% OFF card which lowered our dues even more. Got a Sorel Commander boots for my toddler (orig $44.99-- $55 in sorel canada website but can be cheaper in other retailers-- great product reviews too) for next winter; and KSwiss Keahou II runners for the hubby (orig $139.99 about $90-110 range in some online retailers with great reviews also ;D ) All together, we would have paid $185 plus tax, but after discount we only paid $52 plus change ALL IN! cool. I don't tend to brag on SC, but this might just be the incentive I need.

Cough if someone wants some tips for next week
I would LOVE a non-FPC brag showing how much food you can get for $8.75 for this challenge: http://smartcanucks.ca/budget-challe...elow-the-line/
It would need to feed you for 5 days!

$35 for a 4 person family? That's not bad. The problem is that I rely on my stock pile. Like this week I only bought sausages as meat because I had lots of other meat in my freezer. I think that stock piling makes it way easier to not only take full advantage of sales but also I don't have to buy meat (the most expensive part of a meal) every week. So i think it would be very hard to live on this amount without a stock pile.
We don't need to be rich, don't need to be famous just to have a good time!
