I was wondering where Aylmer was.... There is another Aylmer about 5 or 10 minutes away from Ottawa, but then your postal code would have been different.

I think there is also an Aylmer Quebec if I'm not mistaken... I remember my Dad talking about it when we discussed our family tree..

I really think you and your sister are beautiful women.
I think at one time we have probably all struggled with our weight, I don't like my picture taken either. I still think of myself as that short skinny girl from highschool. When I hit 30 my metabolism changed and like you antidepressants played a role as well.
My new old boyfriend--my first love from when I was 16 yrs old we had not seen each other in 24 yrs--he loves me for me inside, we both are a bigger and greyer but it was the attraction and deep love for eachother that has brought us together again.
We have decided to get healthier together, eating right and if the weather ever gets nice bike rides and walking.

I actually brought my computer home to stay caught up on the thread because everyone is so chatty.... even me! But its time for bed soon so i will check everything out again in the morning. Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement today... I really needed it! I'm hoping to find a weight loss method/ lifestyle change that actually works. I'm a very picky eater and thats half the problem and I'm a sugar addict!

My boo's feet are gigantic.. size 13. He's 6'2 so I guess that's normal, but when I look at his shoes they look like boats. If I have to run outside to the driveway for something quick, I can fit my foot with the slipper on, inside his shoes so I don't get my feet dirty!

And still room to spare!

Yes, there's an Aylmer QC. I grew up in Ottawa but have lived in Southern Ontario for a while now (variety of places) and when I told family and friends back home I was moving to Aylmer they all got excited cause they thought I meant the Quebec one, lol. Ewps. Nope sorryyy still far away. >.<

I'm 5'1" (DH is 6'1") When I was pregnant with the twins, my waist was 61 inches so I was as round as I was tall! I hate that I can't get things from the top shelf. Both my sons are over 6' - take after dad - my daughter is also tall 5'8". One of my sons has size 15 shoe - almost impossible to buy shoes or runners for him in Canada - good excuse to go shopping in the states!

I am know I am not on this train (just stalking) but I am 5'10 and way taller than all the girls at work they are all 5'2 to 5'4 so I always get called to reach things.

When I was younger I was devestated when I did not reach 6' not sure why but it was my goal and to me I failed at my goal. Now I am kind of happy I didn't it is already so hard to find pants long enough without adding 2 more inches.

ack! back from looking at a trailer.....my in laws are going to live with us for 6 months of the year and since our house is super tiny we are thinking of buying them a trailer and having them live on our property....but NOT in the house......I don't think I can handle 6 months straight of expert advice on how to do everything from my hair, make dinner and raise my kids......ok enough venting....back to questions

My dad, who is 68, will be moving in with us when we buy a house 1 to 2 years from now. But he'll live in a suite. I asked DH if that would be OK. I know inlaws can be touchy. He LOVES the idea.

We both agreed HIS parents would never be living with us. Ever. They are nice people, but they are highly anxious (esp. MIL) and meddlesome people!!
