So yesterday I gathered my kids, coupons, flyers, (phone) and ran to Walmart to pick up some of the amazing deals I saw for this week. I was very excited about my shopping plan, and although my cashier had to run and check a couple of times on how many PMs she could do, if overage was allowed, etc: everything worked out and I was able to save a lot of money! Yay!
So here is the breakdown of what I picked up. Most of these coupons I've traded for, so thanks to everyone here for that!
Walmart:
2x I can’t believe it’s not butter $2.87 - Pm No Frills @ $1 = $1ea, saved $3.74
25x Colgate total 85g $1.97–PM No Frills @ $1 – (20)$1.50 Coupons, (5) $1 coupons = FREE, Saved $ 49.25 plus $10 overage!
2x Ziploc bags $3.17 –pm No Frills @ $2 - $0.50 wub2 coupon = $1.75ea, Saved $2.84
2x Sunripe juice reg. $2.97, sale $2 –BOGO coupon = $1ea, saved $3.94
1x Bath color fizzy $2
4x Glade starter kits $6.97 –multi buy $1.97ea-$5 coupon = FREE, saved $27.88
1x Cheemo Perogies $2.47 -$1 Checkout 51 rebate = $1.47, save $1
1x Storebrand crème $ 2.87
1x Coriander bunch $0.77
2x Mina ground chicken $4.04/4.02-$2 coupon = $2ea, save $4
Regular walmart price total $111.32
- coupons used $62.50
- checkout 51 on cheemo $1
- sales, pming, mulitbuy deals $40.15
Total OOP $9.31 + $2.69 GST = $12
Savings $103.65 of $111.32 = 93%
Then we were off to Safeway. I had enough veggies left over from last week, and goodness knows enough staples in storage, so I really only needed to replenish our block cheese.
Safeway had a Friday deal on cheese which was a variety of weights for $5.99. I picked through and found the biggest ones for 2 transactions, one for me and one for my SIL.
So the first transaction:
2@ $5.99 =$11.98 for 1x721g, 1x 792G!! works out to be $0.79/100g
#2 (SIL’s) transaction:
2@ $5.99=11.98 for 2x694g works out to be $0.86/100g
The best part is the original sticker pricing on the packs were at $1.79 per 100g which I would never pay, but fun to see the difference. I could have done a little better at NF using coupons $3 -$0.75 for 300g works out to be 75 cents/100g. But I went for this deal instead since I wanted more volume of cheese and the few black diamond coupons I have I’ll save in case NF puts theirs on for $2.47 again!
Also SIL doesn’t coupon so she’d end up paying the $1/100g price at NF, so the savings made her happy too. (Even if I did save myself the biggest blocks ).

Great brag. I am new to this so don't know how overages work. Do all the stores give overages? What other stores PM other than Walmart?
