LOL, I will probably stop at first to the Liquidation World off the highway I think Wellington then the Old Navy there cuz somehow I always score clothes on sale for myself and I have a coupon spend $50 this weekend and get $10 off so an incentive to finally buy myself something purty Depending on the following days schedule my sister will want to hit the Home Sense near the mall there and Loblaws and Marble Slab...so that is my shopping I think. Saturday at around 5ish we are heading to the bridal shower and spending the night in London cuz my moms best friend's house is empty, just her an empty nester...well it is her granddaughter getting married.
So do you know if what I am talking about is close to you at all?

i need parenting advice!

ok, try to make it short. ryan is using diff tactis to avoid tasks/consequences. and i din't realize he was even doing it, until the other day when it became very obvious. and i did some online searching..

playing deaf
dillydallying
saying just a min, and not doing it
arguing/asking questions


these are all stalling tactics.

a couple of the other ones that he does to "test the limits" are:

partial compliance (doing task a bit differently than what was told, just to test limits, not because he din't know)
undoing (doing the task then putting it back the way it was after)

i believe in letting them suffer natural consequences of their actions. and only speaking once. that way they learn to listen. but i make sure he heard me by calling his name and waiting for him to answer.

so this am, i did that. told him to get up for school. school started 12 mins ago, and his feet still haven't hit the floor. called school safe arrival, and emailed teacher to let her know what is going on.

i'm sure he fell back asleep, or is in their hugging his cat, i don't care.

when he gets up will go through the whole am routine and send him even if it's recess time. after recess i'll call school first. either way, will call sap and let them know he left.

but this is just the start. he'll dilly dally all day taking his good old time, or keep asking questions, talking nonsense or argue about what has to be done. he'll get dressed and come downstairs (no socks) --partial complaince. he rarely does the undoing one. (lucky me )

so any other suggestions? we have the reward chart. complaince => than 2x the non =$1 allowance/day. plus the $1 he gets for going to and doing his pm activity. =$11/week max. one for each year of his life.

consequences, the natural ones (school detention, extra homework that he missed from this am..etc, embarrassment of going in late). time outs at home, loss of the allowance. extreme case, loss of computer etc. (which he OH SO LOST for the commotion at cadets).

? ideas i'm again.

We really love that Value Village that is right across from Liquidation World, it is too bad you aren't sticking around till Monday the 17th, that is Value Village 50% off everything day!

It is??? My mom is sending me some money to buy clothes and I told her I'd rather buy them second hand and get 3-4 times more clothes instead of getting them brand new. I like the one on Dundas east too.

Woke up to this darn white stuff outside, now I have to make hubby shovel..lol..was gonna try walking today.
Stayed up way to late last night finally figured out how to download wii games off internet so dh and I played Dr. Mario late last night, we used to play that when we were dating...lol
Went to walmart last nigth to pick up my 50 free prints(did it in mine and dh name) she was arguing with each of us that we should only get 20 each, told her to look online says when open account took abit but gave me my pics, figured it was about time I got prints of last years xmas doen..lol
