I'd like to thank Patty for a great thread, had to post in it. Also to Patty for her sense of humour.
Thanks Pix for all your help yesterday with info.
Thanks to Kaela for sending me a generous envy of coupons.
Thanks to all my buds here on SC that I think of daily, and the many I chat with on FB.

I would like to thank an old colleague who, I hear, just passed away yesterday. She was a lively and determined woman who never took "No" for an answer when it came to Women's Rights and Equity. She pioneered the "daring" retirement. She was a teacher, a Vice Principal, President of the Women Teachers' Association, on the provincial executive for the Federation of Women Teachers' of Ontario! She set a standard of excellence for herself and just expected that others could meet their goals,as well. She ran a B&B and convinced a major national company to redo her bathrooms, (for free), claiming that her B&B was a great advertizing venue for their products. She sold the B&B and bought a 5th Wheel and travelled all over to her heart's content - south in the winter - north in the summer. She shared her knowledge on financing retirement - and how to staff a school - with anyone who would listen! She was a "blustering" kind of no nonsense woman who wore "notice me" kinds of clothes and SMOKED in the most inappropriate places. There are thousands of people - mostly women who'll never know her name, who will have benefitted from her diligence in making life GREAT for others. I bet she's organizing an "Angel Union" as we speak! THANK YOU, Fay!

I want to thank the person that dropped of Rocket at the shelter because they thought he was too rambunctious. We love him

I'm thankful for my husband. Oh, I know it's mundane to talk about hubbies, but really....my husband has been my very best friend since we were in high-school together. Yet here we are, after 43 years of marriage, having gone through some incredibly difficult times, still together, still caring for each other, still with that kind of comfort that comes with knowing how safe we are in each other's presence.
I thank my husband for caring for me, for our children, and for our grandson in a way that would make anyone feel loved.
I've been truly blessed.

thankful for super nice nurses and nice Dr's too!
i've had grouchy, lazy, snippy nurses over the past 12 yrs with various visits involving, myself, hubby and even the kids. i've even had a Dr. roll his eyes at me when he was most definitely in the wrong.
the last couple of days i had the sweetest nurses who were so careful and caring and 3 Dr's who actually listened and cared.
and i scored not one, but TWO private rooms! that was nice too
