Today I tagged along with DH to Shoppers World to visit Target . I wanted to get the Glad garbage bags that I have rain checks for(since the mfg cpns expire Aug 31) & to get the Hellman's mayonnaise since I didn't get to go last wk to do a PM with No Frills. There were no garbage bags on the shelves yet the $1.99 signs sat there smiling at customers with a valid to sale date of Aug 22 it appears.I asked a staff if any were in stock , he said no & that he doesn't know when they'll be in( they have to be related to Zellers)....I got my mayonnaise, grabbed some cleaning items & headed to pay for them(the cashier was clueless re the mayonnaise cpns & she wanted to deny me stacking, so I had to physically arrange them on the belt for her..SMH.
My take home items list:
2 x Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Duck @ $2 ea + BOGO cpn= $2 for both
2x Lysol Wipes @ $2 ea + $1 WUB2 Lysol products mfg cpn=$3 for both
1 bottle Palmolive w/Oxy dish liquid =$1.87 on sale
2 x Hellman's Mayo @ 2.99 ea + 2 x $2 Target cpns + 2 x $1 mfg cpns =$1.98 for both

I had to wait as it was a older lady who wasn't as sharp. She was slow & at one point had to call a supv for an overide but luckily the supv was close by. It took enough time that DH left from outside the parking lot to come & see what was happening . He wanted me to get going as he had to get back home to cook prior to heading out to work.

for starters i just wanted to commend your patience...i personally think that cashiers do have to be more educated on the use of coupons...it is way too frustrating sometimes to use them...when it should be easy...i was a cashier for twenty years and i never found it that hard at all...

... I just spent about $8 on over $80 worth of stuff at WalMart combining coupon zone coupons and manufacturer's coupons yesterday. I went to Customer Service to check out, as I knew I'd have to get a CSM to override, and asked the older CSM there if she was comfortable using coupons. She said she'd do it, but then told me I couldn't use half the coupons I had, and claimed she was as high up as I could get and there was no way I was going to be able to use them all. She even said "If you use both of these coupons on that shampoo (Clear) then you get both for only .63." "I just said "yes." She said "You can't have them for only .63." I told her if she wasn't sure about the coupons to just ask the manager to come help her out. She got on the phone and got into a loud argument with the manager because he told her I was correct and in the end, put all the coupons through for me (at a different cash because she said I was holding people up, now).
She was very upset with me, even though I was polite and very patient as she mumbled with every coupon she entered. I wished I had my copy of the WM coupon policy with me, although I fear she would have argued with me about that as well. I actually cannot wait for Target to open here next to me because at least their coupon policy is quite clear and not open to much interpretation. Either way, people are going to be confused and even upset that we're "working the system" and in the end, we save money and are not hurting anyone.

Oh !!! Coupon Collector...I hear you sister!!! They used to and depending on which cashier you get, hit and miss!!! That is all I can say. Did you get the coupon Policy online? I went to the Baseline location another time and One of the CSMs read off a memo that I could not understand at all and DH was not with me and there was a line-up and I shrivelled up like a wilted flower and said fine . That was when everything first started being changed. The Richmond road too, worse there don't even think about it. So the better one is the Terry Fox Location and is still a gamble. Stand your ground and keep fighting.
If in the flyer go to RCSS they will do both.

Sorry you went through all the trouble. Very happy you managed to get your items though. Great brag
and thanks for sharing.
Funny when a cashier grumbles about an item being wtv price with a coupon (but still rings it through), I tell them : Isn't it awesome ! I do have one or two extras of these coupons here you go.
funny how quick they take em' .

Thanks! If I didn't live so far away from RCSS, I'd definitely do it! I'd spend any extra savings I might get in gas. This was the CP location, and even then, I'm about 20 mins from there. The policy I originally had was not very clear so I tossed it, planning to print out one that specifies "one per purchase" does not mean 1 per transaction. However my printer malfunctioned and I haven't had time to go to the library to print the new one. Also Kanata RCSS PM's almost anywhere nearby, including some Quebec flyers and allows stacking of CZ and man coupons. I think Orleans also, but I'll have to double check.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread! lol

Oh poor you..that is the worst and I could probably describe who denied you... Been there and tried and tried...they came to a complete halt there and no way..sorry you had to go through that and maybe a neighbour goes there sometimes and can bring you. I know it is terrible and throws you off your game when you are refused. It's like you are trying to be a crook and you just got cought with your hand in the till. Yet not long ago they were taking them. It's like they never even took them..Yuk!!!! Hopefully Target will be closer to you and some of this will be mere hystory.
ink Orleans also, but I'll have to double check.
