eight puppies are getting some help from their adopted mom Timber.The puppies were found on Dec. 3 in Brookswood Park in Langley in a cardboard box with a tarp over the top. They were only about seven to ten days old when they arrived at the Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS)

German Shepherd Timber had arrived at LAPS in early November. The man who dropped her off told the society she had been hanging around his property for several months but she kept getting out and he was worried she would get hit by a car. On Dec. 6 Timber had to have an emergency c-section and gave birth to two more puppies. But now she has a litter of 10 as she has adopted the abandoned pups.

“[Timber's] two little puppies are about 10 days behind the others, so we have to make sure they are getting enough milk,”
