"Missed" package delivery two days last week - uh, I was home both days, all day.
Courier is CanPar - for pickup, their office is only open from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. - duh, just one hour?

CanPar are the worst, we used them at work for a while and I had an urgent package I called them for pickup, paid extra for next day early morning delivery and left the office. I was working from home for a few days, got back and my package was STILL at reception waiting for pickup "we didn't have trucks in the area" - in DOWNTOWN TORONTO FOR 3 BUSINESS DAYS??? UGH
Best Buy still have not shipped my order, call and "we have policies to follow" so they wont even look into it. They also have a same day shipping policy and a policy not to actually charge for the item until it ships, I guess they only follow the policies that suit them. I will never order from them again

Venuila - is a plumber coming, or do you have to thaw them yourself? If so, open the cupboards in your kitchen, turn the kitchen faucet on just a bit - use a hair dryer on the pipes (nothing else).
When we lived in an old townhouse, the pipes under the sink would freeze because it was on an outside wall.
To prevent it from happening again, we had to leave the cupboard doors under the sink open, and the water trickling.

pam, I loved today how on Global national news they were comparing how Winnipeggers deal with the cold as compared to Torontonians - e.g. drive-throughs closed in TO, in the Peg, they never close because of the weather
Two minutes long -
http://globalnews.ca/news/1064081/wh...stops-us-cold/
At 8:45 p.m. temps
TO -17, w/c -30
Winnipeg -23, w/c -28
Saskatoon -29, w/c -35
Here in Toon Town, we're warmer than we have been in days - and it's going to be better towards the weekend.

So far this year I've had my apartment nearly broken Into, been accused of something I did not do and just lost somebody very important in my life today.
2014 can go f.ck itself.
