Thread: New camera ...Target clearance
-

Went to Target today with DH. ended up buying DH a new Nikon Coolpix camera as a very early birthday present ( birthday in August). It was reg price $299, clearance price was $114.95, was display model so said he would give us another 10% so $103.46 but then decided to give it to us for $99, bought a 3 year replacement warranty for $12.95, and an SD card so with everything we got it for $138 taxes in. DH is super happy as camera has a really good rating. Now I just have to remember in August that I already bought DH his present so now only have to do cake! yahoo. did I mention I love Target clearance?...maybe only 10 times LOL.
PS was talking to another Target employee while DH was looking at Cameras and he asked me if I was looking for a new phone. Would love a smart phone but don't really need it and can't justify the huge monthly charge for one either. He asked me what phone I have so I pulled my samsung( you know the kind with the sliding keyboard) phone out and this whole group of people buying an iphone gasped and started laughing. Geez it is not that old and it works great for what I need it for!

Haha I had a slider up until a couple of months ago too. Nothing wrong with them.
Good job on the camera.

sheesh, I was at target and had the audacity to look at the phones ( i was bored and had a couple of minutes to spare) the employee asked what kind of phone i was looking for and i said i wasn't, just killing time and checking stuff out. he kept pushing and asking what i currently use... i said i have an old hand me down, beat up blackberry. the moron has the nerve to laugh at me and make some mocking/condescending comment. grrr.
like i'm going to give you my money now
congrats on your awesome deal

Nice deal on the camera. :o
My phone is an old Samsung from 2008. Everyone comments how ancient it is. Funny thing is it does everything I look for in a phone.......make phone calls. LOL.

People get so caught up in having the newest model of phone, but if your phone works fine for you then what's the big deal? You are obviously secure enough in yourself that you don't need to impress others with your flashy new toys! And you know in this forum we are way more easily impressed with your excellent bargains!!!
