Summer days at the cottage or as we say in southern Ontario "up north" are the best. I was fortunate that I grew up with a family cottage. I learned to swim, ski (albeit not very well) make bonfires, all the things that are associated with cottage life. When my Mom became ill, we had to sell the cottage....but I sure packed up a lifetime of memories & am so glad that my children were able to enjoy it when they were little guys.

It makes me feel good to remember those times. My life has had many blessings. When I think back to all the things that I used to complain about & fret over, what a waste of time.... My Grandmother always said that you can't place an old head on young shoulders. How true Grandma G.

Hello, Loocie.....I'm finally back from our family vacation, sorry I couldn't post from Disneyworld, but evidently Rogers isn't fond of the place, so the wifi they have there didn't work for us. Gr.

I've just now caught up to your posts, and am happy that you're still keeping upbeat, being the loving person you are, and thinking of others when you have your own challenges right now. Actually, I'm more than happy...I'm so proud, yet baffled by your courage. You're amazing, Hon!!!

My brother has been a volunteer driver for cancer patients from the Cobourg/Perterborough area for years, into Toronto's Princess Margaret hospital as well as other appointments...he's always found it rewarding to help out in this way...

So....we're back from the tropical sunshine, back to seeing snow still lingering in our yards, but SO much less than when we left a week ago! You mentioned the state of your yard...Honey...it's probably better than the snow we still have here!

Well my friends, I'm certainly enjoying the weekend. Back at the hospital a couple of times in the coming week.
Soon we will find out just how this treatment is working. A CT scan will reveal what is going on in my lungs. It is my sincerest wish that this *drug* is doing what it is supposed to do by a) halting any new tumour growth. b) shrinking tumours that are already there. I have never wished & hoped for anything as much as I wish for this.

I pray your wish comes through .

Loosie, you need to use propolis. It increases immunity, helps the body deal with alien genes. Also very useful fresh air, walking, laughing. Try to look more comedy movies, read anecdotes , and just humorous literature.
Many people wish you fully recover soon.
