Nevinna...after YEARS of trying everything..EVERYTHING!...I lost 50 lbs last year with WeightWatchers. It likely would have been a faster loss had I not gone off it for events, holidays, etc, but I feel that's the very reason I stuck to it: I never deprived myself. I did it all with the information I found on line: no meetings, no cost. Just grocery store food.
There is no quick answer. No magic diet pill. Believe me, if there was, I would have been the first to scream my discovery to the hills!
Save your money and using google, google how many points for your weight, and google a generic points site, and you'll be well on your way to your loss! And join us on the "fun's over" thread; we're all struggling, winning, losing, falling, and getting up again...you're more than welcome to join!

    I agree with Lynn.

    Weight Watchers really does work.

The weight wont come off overnight but it will come off consistently and that's a much better way to lose weight. You need to commit to the long haul of course but the great thing about WW is you can have what you want, just in moderation. Plus you can use extra points for nights out etc. (you just might not see a loss that week).

I like the online option of WW but I know lots of people who swear by the meetings. You just need to figure out what's best for you. If you want to do the online option then you can do as Lynn suggested and google point values. There's lots of sites out there with great free info.

    Good luck!

I hadn't ever heard of Reductan so I went and looked it up. On their own website they have the statement "IMPORTANT - HEALTHY WEIGHT REDUCTION IS ACHIEVED ONLY BY COMBINING 4 ELEMENTS:HEALTHY DIET, PHYSICAL EXERCISES, WEIGHT LOSS PRODUCT (REDUCTAN) AND PLENTY OF WATER."

Save your money, it says you need 4 elements, bull you only need 3. The 4th is a just a product they are trying to sell. I lost 30 pounds by following my own diet. I started slowly exercising, gradually increasing the amount. For my diet I used TV dinners as they have the calories listed on the box and I ate small chocolate bars (under 100 calories) so I didn't feel like I was denying myself treats.

Actually, it isn't. In controlled studies, there's been very little evidence that exercise contributed to weight loss. Change in diet is most often the key.

It works because you HAVE TO STICK TO A WEIGHT-LOSS DIET!
After years and years of study, no magic pill has been found...it's still revolves around the calories consumed! Calculate the number of calories you take in, in a few "normal" days of eating, then see if they're on track with a weight-loss intake number.
Spending money on crap while saving money with couponing just doesn't make sense.
If anything works it'll be on CNN....it'll be shouted on rooftops.
So far, not a darn peep!

I have on and off weight problems and found out this year I have a lazy pancreas! Many ppl with weight issues have 'métabolisme B' and just don't know it.
Theres isn't anything that can be done other then waiting 4-5 hrs between each meal (no snacks) to have a better chance at your pancreas doing its job properly.

Actually the problem is everyone need instant results which in my opinion not possible just keep in mind slow study won the race. best of luck

A good ingredient to add to your diet is fiber. It helps you to reach the feeling of being full faster, and it keeps you full for a longer period of time. It's also good for healthy bowels! Just make sure to drink more water if you're eating more fiber.
