Remember they do the recall because there is 'possible' contamination - so fingers crossed that you are okay.

I got an automated call from Costco today telling me I had purchased it. The dates they gave were products made between December 2013 and August 19th 2014. Kind of creeped me out that Costco knows what I am buying but then again that's their marketing strategy. They track every thing.
I will NOT be returning it since I have been eating it almost every day lol. It is after all only a voluntary recall.

Got a costco call and returned my half eaten jar today, no issues. The lady there told me that people had brought almost empty jars in....

Yuck. I would be freaking out a little too OP...BUT...if you've been eating it up until now and haven't gotten sick, I wouldn't worry terribly.
Still, I would return the jar...because what the heck, right?
I think the most disgusting food recall for us was some steaks. We were camping at Pinery Provincial park near the village of Grand Bend (a big summer beach destination around this way) and there was a huge sale on steaks at the local grocery store. We gobbled them up; ate like kings and queens on the steak for the whole time we camped because the price was super cheap. Steak kabobs. Steak and eggs. Grilled steak.
About 4 days later, the Aylmer meat packers scandal broke out.
For those of you not familiar with this story (gosh, it's more than 10 years old now), the owners of a nearby meat packing plant were charged with criminal wrongdoing because they accepted and processed meat that was dead when it arrived at the plant and mixed it up with good meat that had been slaughtered legitimately on site. They were doing this after hours when the inspector had gone home for the day.
Ugh. so gross. It took us YEARS before we could eat steak again.
