Good morning all.
It's going to be a lovely day here as well. Sunny, 29. Warmer than I like but I will enjoy it while we still have it.

So I'm going to loose power any moment now. We had a notice (they're repairing the concrete in our underground parking where a leak was) because one of the construction crews hit a power/phone line. We've been living with a huge open pit for 6 weeks now waiting for the City and Telus to get together to come and fix it, They are fixing it today and the notice said power, phone, internet and cable all out from 8am to 4pm I'm worried about the stuff in my freezer. Hopefully everything's ok.
So I'll be out scouting around when the power goes out. I'll let you know if I find any great deals....clearance here I come!
Hope everyone has an amazing dayWe all need a little sunshine every now and then

Yeah our power downtown where I live has been out every couple sundays
for last few months. Tthey are replacing the underground power vaults. Fridge is usually good for apx 6 hours sometimes longer and the freezer if full up to 24 hours if you don't open it.

Morning everyone. So, after sending a notice that the power would be out for 8 hours, people preparing for that, the companies in the 3 work/live tiny mall in our complex closed for the day due to no power.....THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!!!!!! Talk about being disrespectful to everyone. No notice that they're not coming. I wonder if anyone is going to compensate the business for a days loss of wages? No Telus, no Shaw, no City of Calgary. How RUDE!
I went out at about 10:30am, I thought I was pushing it to be here that long. When I came back, about 3:30, I was talking to my neighbor and she said she was here all day. She had plans to just go out shopping when the power went out, but it never did. My dh and I look into the HUGE hole in the parking lot last night and nope, no fixed pipes or cables. Same as before. We all need a little sunshine every now and then

Thanks for the advise guys on the freezer. I think I'll just left everything get low, then whenever they finally decide to fix it, I won't worry as much. I just don't like the thought of my meat even just starting a tiny bit to defrost. There so much talk about salmonella out there, a person can never be to safe.
I hope everyone has an amazing dayWe all need a little sunshine every now and then
