QOTD: Mon Sep 08: A look ahead to the Autumn

Just found out from my niece that it's snowing in Calgary.

Fall is my favourite time of year!!! I really hate winter so fall is always bittersweet because I know that after my favourite season comes my least favourite one, but every fall we do similar things. I'm looking forward to

Thanksgiving turkey
Walks in the woods once the leaves turn
Rolling in big piles of leaves
Halloween
Apple picking with the kids (and lots of Apple Crisp after!)
Corn mazes
The sweet smell the leaves have after they fall off the tree and begin to decompose. (yes, I love that smell!)
Cool crisp mornings

I have no real "plans" persay, although my husband and I were taking our daily walk after my radiation today and I was planning how to dress our kitchen table. lol I was saying I need a new fall table runner, one that will match the glass pumpkin candy jar, so that it will look all festive and such. That's the extent of any planning going on in my life for the fall.

I love autumn. The cool crisp air and pretty leaves. So far no plans for autumn, taking it day by day.
