****the flyer was printed wrong and I was unaware of this at the time, but it turns out these were not the sets that were on sale at the superstore, it was supposed to be the smaller sets.******
Christmas can be crazy expensive, especially when you have little people in your house. Like most, I love sales, but unfortunately the toys my little sister LOVES never go on sale, and if they do it is hardly a sale. I am student, so I really can't justify buying her multiple boxes of expensive lego, when I should be buying textbooks. But there is something about giving her things that is so magical that I have a hard time not buying her everything she wants… (I know it's so bad, but she is the baby of the family by many years so she gets a little spoiled…Luckily she has 5 older siblings to keep her in check so being a brat is not a thing in our house…at least most of the time. haha) Anyway I had noticed that a store was having a three day sale on Lego Friends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) but the store was pretty far out of our way. So I took my flyer and decided to give price matching a try. The flyer had a picture of a medium size box of lego friends and then said select varieties. After checking with the store we ended up getting:
1x Lego Friends Summer Caravan $39.99
1X LEGO Friends Jungle Falls Rescue $24.99
1x Lego Friends Jungle Bridge Rescue $39.99
1x Lego Friends Jungle Rescue Base $39.99
1x Lego Friends Heartlake Juice Bar $39.99
So the total OOP would have been (incl. tax): $208.99
BUT…
With the PM we were able to get everything for….
$73.39!!! Including tax! $12.99 EACH! ABOUT 70% SAVINGS!!
I was absolutely thrilled, and I know my monkey will be on Christmas morning when she opens them! And it also means that I can balance out the remainder of my Christmas budget for her on things she needs, which is awesome!
Here is the picture of all the Lego… Not going to lie, I really hope she lets me help her build them! Now I should stop procrastinating and finish studying for the 2 midterms I have today.
