I broke out my Canada Goose to walk the dog today

Happy Caturday Q sters,
it was a cold day out. had to work today & afterwards, did my grocery shopping. Acton had their Santa parade around 1pm today & had to make sure i was out of Georgetown before 5pm. that's when they closed the road down to have their Santa parade. TO's parade is tomorrow. got my laundry done, made chili for lunches this week, today because i am doing a fundraiser tomorrow with a few other people for a little Acton boy, who has had 2 open heart surgeries & he's only 2. his 1st one was just after he was born & he had his 2nd one, was this summer. the money we are raising will got to Sick Kids hospital & Ronald MacDonald house. doctors are hoping that this last surgery will last till he's 5 or 6, when he'll have a 3rd. He is such a happy little kid & full of life, you'd never know he has a heart condition.

I'm with you, HG, anything below 80 is cold. Thank goodness for fireplaces & electric blankies.

Getting ready to leave this Hilton hotel for our next one. Trying to figure out how to get there is not easy so guess we better take a cab. A guy leaving for Cappadocia gave us a Bus card he didn't need so that was nice. Also the hotel gave us a late check out for nothing so that was nice too and the breakfast went until 11 a.m so we didn't have to rush. Don't have long before 2:30 p.m. so the Golden Horn is right accross the street so gonna try to get out for a stroll along there before leaving this area. Maybe catch a few puds to feed out there (saved them some stuff from the breakie!)

Good morning, everyone.

It was so dark this morning, we slept in. When I saw the sn*wflakes outside the window, I tried to convince Lily dog that it was too early to spy on neighbours, but she insisted on going out. She was not impressed when she got her feet wet (it's always my fault ).

I think I'm succumbing to a cold. Blech. Think I really have to start taking a page out of my aunt's guide to living to be a healthy active 86 yr old - can't do the smoking for 70+ yrs, or starving during the war yrs or living under a bridge in winter, but the tumbler-full of vodka before breakfast sounds like a good idea. Might have to switch to rum, tho.

Off to make breakfast for the brats. Think I'll wait til lunch time for the alcohol - it might lose its effectiveness when combined with the transplant drugs.
