Off the top of my head, you won't find peanut butter on sale right now. With the current Christmas season here, and people being more relaxed about their spending, they don't care as much on saving for staples. If someone is spending $100 (or $200, or $300) on junior, saving a few cents on a necessity doesn't really matter that much in comparison.

Wait until January. The hangover from the holidays and credit cards coming in, and New Year's resolution about budgeting, will change people's attitude about spending and peanut butter will become a loss leader again and sales will start popping up.

Just picked up my SDM flyer that starts Dec 13 and Kraft 750g-1kg peanut butter is on for $3.99
I am in BC though....hope you get the same.
