It's been a challenge this week but quite a curve of learning,
I’m trying to keep nudging & to be discerning.
It just that I’m tired, yet ever inspired,
My heart is chuffed by people who are so admired,
For being open to talk & keep our dreams on track,
Cause when it comes to aspirations, you gotta give it a whack,
I have to keep my gauntlet centered square & front,
Upgrade to a slam instead of a bunt,
I come to this place for inspiration & your words are soothing,
I know I have the tendency for abundant musing….
People you’ve loved forever keep your heart harmonious,
I am trying to tell you to set your thoughts to melodious,
I hate this cancer routine with a furious passion,
It’s deserving of nothing; not one single ration,
So onward I go as this is what I simply must do,

This is the schedule for my blood draws while on this new study drug. They are checking how it is adsorbed systemically. Thankfully they apply a saline lock to make it a bit easier....but yikes!! This is why I have to have overnighters in the hospital. I get discharged on Wednesday & then I have to go back downtown on Thursday for the 48 hour blood draw. It will be hectic for the first three weeks of treatment. This drug is known as KTP-330. The goal is to trap tumour suppressing proteins, thus causing the cancer cells to die or stop growing. I have never prayed so hard in my life. I am so humbled by this experience. Thanks for keeping the faith with me.

Kind of you to write this poem but it's really US that are privileged to know you fabulous girls that are being so brave through such tough times. So dear Loocie you see. . . it's really YOU that's teaching us all about courage and strength and why it's so important to have strong character. Kudos to you my dear.

Loocie, I was at Princess Margaret today for bloodworks and Dr.'s appt., while waiting for over an hour for my turn I thought of you many times and even looked around ....just in case

I am so glad to be home. Even though I have to go back into PMH tomorrow. I get to sleep in my own bed.

Hey IthinkIcan. That blood lab is an exercise in futility would be an understatement. It is pure disaster during the renovations. I hope it improves when the renovations are completed. Wating for an hour is average there. When a person is not feeling well, it is difficult to stay comfortable. With all the people there too.
