Canucks have won some good games lately vs Pittsburgh, Chicago and Boston. Now we just need to beat Calgary tonight : /

There are many adjectives that thus far describe the Leaf’s season,
Not one of their best & as usual there is many a’ reason,
Although sticks on the ice is good advice,
It’s come to fruition that it just didn't suffice,
The focus is lacking along with leadership & action
& a game plan would have been a most applicable contraption,
Yes, there is some sort of talent that just could not connect,
But we die-hard fans view them as our hometown project,
I suspect next year won’t bring miracles; it’s a matter of logistics,
& all one can do is hope for some better statistics,
It seems like a long time ago, when our team was electrifying,
& it’s sad for us fans to be left in the wings sighing,
Darryl Sittler, Lanny McDonald…where are the guys like you?
Felix Potvin, Mike Palmateer, we remember you too!
I don’t remember much about the days of the original six,
& that was sure before those mega bucks came into the mix!
I guess we can cringe our way until it’s time to hang up those skates,
Too bad that being a Leaf’s fan doesn't come with dashed-hope rebates.


* I predict that this season cannot end soon enough.
