You make an account, then you can go to the Explore tab, choose Giveaways, and pick books you'd like to win. Usually they give enough of a blurb to know if it's a book you'd be interested in or not. I choose giveaways that are giving away at least five books, but I'll do a one if it's a book I'd really like.

thanks just how many do you enter at once and how many books have you won?

I usually do it a few times a week, maybe 20 at a time - just a guess. On average, I have been winning at least one a month, sometimes two. I did have a streak earlier where I won two a week for a few weeks.
It's totally random (they even say it depends upon the phases of the moon, lol!) - there have been times I've gone months without any.
