Mayor To Say No To Olympic Bid

Toronto will not enter the bidding process to host the 2024 Summer Olympics. Mayor John Tory will announce his decision on the Olympic bid Tuesday morning. According to several media reports, he'll announce he won't submit a letter of interest in hosting the 2024 games. The mayor will speak to reporters at Nathan Phillips Square at 9:30 a.m.

Report Outlines Tolling Posibilities On the Gardiner & DVP

A report from Toronto city staff has been released detailing the various options for charging tolls on the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway. The report looked at the possibility of a flat-fee toll, for a single trip between $1.25 and $3.25, with trucks paying double those amounts.

heartgirl didn't get much sleep last night. our home was broken into yesterday while we were at work. they didn't make a mess but stole cash and jewellery. it was unsettling. it seems that the thieves targeted our street. the officer was going to another house a few doors down after he finished at our place.

That is horrible and very unsettling HG!! I hope they catch the thieves and you can get the jewellery back...

OMG Heart; that's just awful What a violation.
Glad you didn't come home to a real mess, but sorry about the loss of the cash, but esp. the jewellery. I hope they can recover it.
