I looked at the packages, and behold, small, petite drumsticks clearly from chickens who clearly were conscious of their figures.

    My internal dialogue:

TRIP 1: These are some good looking small drumsticks. And with the $1 coupons, I'll be paying less than a $1 per package. Let's pick up three and make a nice poulet chasseur (which is a sumptuous French chicken stew).

In the car: This is a good deal. Should I go back and get more? (Forehead crinkles like I am trying to divide 391 by 17 in my head) Do I have enough freezer space? Yes I do.

TRIP 2: OK, let's try and be more strategic and go through the packages and look for the packs that not only look good, but also are small packs to get the biggest bang for my $1 coupon buck. There, four more packs is great. I am so smart. I am a chicken drumstick queen.

In the car (again). Cool, I've got a lot of chicken. I'll be set for a while. But wait, chicken drumsticks are so versatile. No, I'm not going back in the store, I've already been twice. But the coupons are right there, asking to be used! It would be an insulting NOT to buy more.

TRIP 3: Frantically running back in the store, convinced that in the last two minutes, that someone has bought ALL the chicken packs and/or the coupon pad has disappeared. Almost knock over a senior with a walker doing so. Well, not really, but you get my meaning. Arrive at the drumsticks embarrassingly out of breath, but relieved that it is exactly now I left it. Lift my chin haughtily I think myself to be the smartest person in the whole world to have noticed this deal while other people are just walking by. I carefully select four more packs and check out.

Dividing the grand total I paid by the number of pounds, in the end, I paid about $0.95LB for air-chilled, hormone free, chicken drumsticks.

And now I am eating ice cream out of the tub because I have no more freezer space.

I'm surprise no one has noticed this yet, on your second trip, the cashier put through 5 coupons on 4 packages of chicken. You got an extra $1 off the chicken in that transaction!! would've been $3.04, not $2.04

Sobeys West today only-buy 2, 907g packs of Black Diamond cheese at 9.99 each and get 100 airmiles. This works out to less than $5 per pack when I redeem the airmiles on my next grocery trip.

Safeway West today only-buy 2 Nabob coffee( 350-400 grams) for $6.99 each and get 50 bonus airmiles. This works out to less the $4.50 each when I redeem airmiles next trip.

Well, after seeing potohgold's impressive shop @ Food Basics, I decided to make the half hour bus trek to our nearest one. I was a little dissapointed that they didn't have any of the $1.00 OFF Maple Lodge Farms Chicken Coupon, but I did not give up on trying to get a good sale, so I decided to use the $2.00 OFF WUB Club House Skillets Sauce Coupon, and I found two nice things of Chicken, one thigh (600g approx. for $2.38) and one drumstick (500g approx. for $2.07). It helped that they had the skillet sauce on sale for $1.79 when it's normally closer to $3.00 depending on the store. So, a pack of chicken thighs for $0.38 and drumsticks for $0.07, a pretty good deal If I say so myself

So after everything was said and done, $5.97 is not a bad deal for over a kilogram of chicken, two sauce mixes and two taco mix packets. But I have not given up on getting these $1.00 OFF coupons, I am heading home for the weekend today and I will try my towns Food Basics (despite the anger I feel towards them both!)

At Sobeys- Friday special 100 bonus Air Miles when you buy 3 Delissio Pizzaria @ $4.99 each. I
bought 3 and used 3 $2 coupons which I got last week at a demo. So paid $8.97, got 100 Air Miles and also claimed $1 from CO51.

At our mall I got a free $10 forever 21 gift card, free $20 h&m gift card and a $100 mall gift card for $75. I was able to check lots of items off my list and get a few treats for me! Doing a redemption at shoppers tomorrow for more free. Saving so much is almost better than Christmas

I bought myself $13 Tart set at Sephora....never ever heard of it but people are going nut for this and value was good too as well as $13 Urban Decay 3-set eyeliners! Wow these are gooood...

Then went to London Drugs: got myself 3x Vichy double-pack cream [7.49 each] and used my coupon for $20 off wub 3 to get all three for $2.40. Now I have one coupon left...better save it for boxing day sale! Also got one Brookside chocolate for 2.99 minus $1.38

Then came home to fight with bro! :p *EvilSis
