Oilers fan (perpetual basement dwellers) who also loves the Bruins (my Dad's team since the 40s). There's no team I hate more than the Habs. Back in the early 80s the Soviets played some exhibition games against NHL teams. When they played the Habs... I rooted for the Soviets. My Dad too. He switched after the first period. He tried rooting for the Habs and just. couldn't. do it.

In all seriousness though, there's lots I agree with on the left and lots I agree with on the right. I'm a centrist. I'm the middle on most things. I vote right in Canada because the right is closer to the center than the left is. Hell, the right in Canada would be considered the left in the US.

Leader of the Conservatives? I do like the guy, his television persona at least. Very pragmatic when it comes to financial matters and he took an awful lot of abuse from Amanda Lang when they had their business show and never responded, always let her get the last snarky word. He was focused on finances though and likely came off as not terribly compassionate to the little guy both on the business show and Dragon's Den. He's no Donald Trump (thank God) but he would make for a more interesting leadership race. I don't know that he's electable though.

Yep, like him or not he's always a straight shooter. That's pretty rare in politics.
