Microwaved the bacon for 30 seconds. Stacked it on a toasted tomato sandwich.

    Store bought tomatoes....yuck. Bacon...yeh!

I want to buy more ready crisp and freeze it to use when my garden tomatoes and lettuce are ready.

Anyone know how the bacon freezes?

Also, trying to figure out how to maximize the Schneiders and Maple Leaf coupons with sales in West flyers. Any ideas from the prairie folks?

I have never bought the ready crisp but I have frozen cooked regular bacon and it was fine. Yum, BLTs!

I don't know about freezing but I'm pretty sure Ready Crisp only needs to be heated up for less than 10 seconds otherwise it can burn. Haven't bought it in a while so not sure

Bacon freezes perfectly IMO, whether it's raw, half-cooked (this stuff) or fully cooked.

I just ordered tomato seeds online for this summer so I share your bacon fantasies!

Its deceiving because its 10 seconds if you are only doing one piece. Who only ever has one piece of bacon?!

Right on the package it says you can refrigerate or freeze it.

I have frozen this bacon with no problems. I just thaw before using.

Thank you fellow bacon lovers To the store and to the freezer it is for READY CRISP.

Love BLTs in the summer and fall! Hate the bacon mess clean up. This microwave stuff is really handy.

About the microwave, ours takes longer to heat anything. Low power I guess. And we fill a plate. lol

Hoping for a another bumper crop of tomatoes.

When I microwave ready crisp bacon it takes about 1 min 30 seconds for 6 pieces. Might be due to my microwave, but I like my bacon crispy (not burnt) but I find the lower suggested temperatures on the box never work and still leaves the fat all chewy. (i've also tried the selection brand ready bacon) I also blot off the oil on top of the bacon after it comes out and wait a minute before using it and i think that helps crisp it up.
