Safeway's Sweet AirMiles Deals

Each week there are less and less Air Miles promos in the flyer.. for the upcoming week, it's the first time that I can remember not seeing any 'manufacturer' (Unilever Event) or 'department' (Frozen Food Event) group promos. Just a few scattered individual items throughout the flyer. Very much how it's always been at Sobeys. Sad.

Sobeys yes. But Safeway no. You can try to redeem 95 AM to buy a $10 Safeway gift card first, then pay your purchase with the gc.

That makes me so sad :-( I was hoping for an eauction. I have over 2000 points that are going to expire in March.
I noticed the airmiles offers have gone way down. I don't think I'll even be able get gold for next year.

I emailed Safeway today to ask if there will be an eauction this year.
This was my response

Looks like I am done collecting too....not buying premium gas anymore so no 10x at shell. Can't remember the last time I set foot in a Safeway. 73 cash miles and 83 dream....bye bye am!

Ya I used to earn around 21k-24k airmiles a year.

This year is looking bleak.. I'm at 9000 and 3000 was from opening the bank account so if u remove that I'm earning 50% less than avg
