thanks, couldn't agree with you more. Last year my husband got a call saying he won a contest he entered at such and such a place...then they told him it was a "FREE trip to Jamaica for one week all inclusive for 2"...all he needed to do was put a deposit of $300 on his visa to secure his "winnings"...he was excited until they told him that ....He hung up.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is..one thing we learned though, you can report scams like this to the BBB or Phonebusters.

Do you use the same computor? If not I think it shouldn't be a problem unless it says one per household or family then I would be a bit reluctant to try.
You should be able to enter one per e-mail address or one per person no problem... I would think.
    Good Luck.

Great tips! I know a few people who have won locally. Including a couple who won a trip down south a few years ago from a Toronto talk show (CFRB I think).

Some sites are OK with it, but so many are including that in their rules. I don't take the time and read everything now.
By the time I've read the rules, I could have entered the contest.

yeah, i went through my bookmarks of all my daily contests, and just used the Ctrl+F Function (in Firefox) to search the rules for words like 'robotic', 'automatic', 'mechanically reproduced' etc

i found quite a few that restrict it but now i have them all sorted into specific categories for autofill or not.. so hopefully my track record picks up a bit!

just out of curiosity.. how much time do you guys spend doing this per day/per week? and how often do you win?

guys, you think using autofil is the same as mozilla and google remembering your info? I dont use autofil but, my mozilla keeps the data.

Hello, and thank you for a great thread! I've only won once, a Chatelaine contest, but now I'm hooked!!

I do have a question, however....is it true that it's not good idea to just click on a link in the contest pages, since it can be tracked to a contesting post such as we have here?
In other words....should we copy/paste the link address and open it from another page, such as our 'home page'?
Thanks for any help you can provide and contined
good luck to all of us!.....Lynn

Just to be on the safe side, I always copy/paste the url onto a new page.
