I was there last week toys were marked 20% but after arguing with my son about paying 18 after the discount oddly they rang up 50% off. I half thought the cashier may have changed the price but not sure i keep meaning to go back but im not going i. With kids so the stars will have to align first. Will report back when i do

I've noticed between two different locations that the discount seems to be reflective of what they have left in any given dept.
In one store some items I've noticed were marked 25% off... in another store in a neighbouring city, the exact same item(s) were at 50% off, but that store was more depleted in that dept than the previous.
I assume there is a concept that the more they've liquidated from one dept or specific store, the more of a discount they can offer, but the discounts seems vary on a store-by-store basis.
So whatever the discount might be at the store where Anna Michele shops in ON, might be different than your store in Surrey. Just be cautious.

I went back toys are 30% she said I must have had a clears be item as they aren't allowed to change prices. On thing didn't scan in they said they had to put it aside and have it priced by liquidators. Total scam my kids need long sleeved shirts bit honestly I don't even want to go back til the bitter end. Yes I'm bitter

I think the price discrepancy at different locations maybe due to the fact that some stores were going to stay open originally (the profitable ones) and the ones slated to close started reducing their prices sooner and now all of them are closing. Interestingly some locations are hiring tremporary help till the end of the year.

@Anna Michele : Actually not a scam. When I was closing up Zellers, when something didn't scan properly or at all we had to call the liquidator rep to get an ok to change the price of something. It's because the liquidation company owns the stock, Sears doesn't anymore. However, we called him immediately. We didn't set it aside and tell the customer they couldn't have it. So partly true, mostly lazy. I don't blame you for being bitter.
I've done pretty well in steering clear of Sears during this mess because I know these sales bring out the worst in some people. And I noticed that very few regular customers would come in during the closing. It was vultures who were only out to get a good deal. The regulars who did come in made sure to tell us they were sorry and to ask about us, to see how we were doing, do we have a job afterwards, etc. The vultures would try to barter, ask when we were closing, when is the discount going higher, this is too expensive, etc etc etc.

We just found a Hatchimal at our store for 40% off. It was the kind little one wanted. That combined with his early Christmas money and I have one very happy little boy!
ROAK a Huggies or Pampers code to my local pregnancy centre- toys, clothes, food & diapers always needed!
