Other reactions than like

I was wondering if we could have other reactions than the like button.

I was responding to the Humboldt Broncos tragedy thread and I had to like the post when I was wanting to show sadness.

I don't think we need a lot of reactions...maybe Like, Good for you(brags and such) Sad/I'm thinking of you maybe one or two other tasteful ones.

Sometimes I don't want to comment on a thread to show my approval or other feelings.

Dislike would likely be abused by people leading to hurt feelings so it was turned off when installed

Yeah, at one point we had thumbs down as well as thumbs up and some people would down vote all brags and trade threads

Maybe they could do Some these smiley icons .. instead off likes then when its sad or tragedy things can put sorry or sad face etc .

I'd rather not post on some subjects which is why I asked about a way of not making a post simply to express my feelings when an icon could do the job without me post padding.

One way round it would be to limit the number of down votes per day to say 5. Once (general) you reached your limit then you have to wait 24 hours to reset your down votes counter.

I know several boards who limit negative reactions.
