It's going to be hot

We’ve certainly waited a long time but the warm weather has finally arrived. We're forecasted to hit a high of 26 degrees this afternoon, well above the average of 15 degrees for this time of year. Still, its doubtful we'll set a May 1st temperature record. Back on this day in 1970, the mercury topped close to 28 degrees. I wouldn't say hot yet, maybe warm. Let me know when the temp hits 35 degrees, with a humidex of 45, then it's hot.

Raptors begin playoff rematch tonight against LeBron

With the warm weather, expect Jurassic Park to be packed. The raps are home to LeBron and the Cavs at the ACC for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Toronto can become the first Eastern Conference team in eight years to eliminate LeBron James from the postseason. I hope so. LeBron James led the first round in points per game with 34.4 and was the only player with three games of 40 or more points in the opening round, which perhaps would explain why LeBron claims he's pretty tired -- but Raptors head coach Dwayne Casey says he isn’t buying it. Tip off tonight goes just at 8pm. I'm not buying it either. Maybe the rest of the Cavs should show up to the game & give poor LeBron a hand, since he's the only 1 playing. Go Raptors Go

Justin Smoak and Russell Martin homered, Yangervis Solarte had three hits and the Toronto Blue Jays edged the Minnesota Twins for a 7-5 win on Monday night.
