These were Hanna Dmyterko’s words a few days before she passed away:
“The exploits of Ukrainian women throughout our country’s long history have become a historical tradition. It originates with Grand Princess Olha of Kyiv (circa 910-July 11, 969). For centuries, Ukrainian women have always desired and fought for freedom, but always with a strong sense of dignity and responsibility for their countrymen.”

Serhiy Horbach died of a stroke in Lviv Military Hospital on May 12, 2018.
Serhiy was born in Zhytomyr on December 3, 1972. He joined the fight against the Russian aggressor in 2014 and served in the 95th Separate Paratrooper Brigade. After leave, he returned to his place of deployment beginning of April and was found unconscious in the military barracks in Sloviansk on April 6, 2018. He was immediately dispatched to Kharkiv, and then to Lviv. Underwent 2 operations.
Serhiy leaves behind his grieving daughter.

Oleh Bokach was killed while trying to rescue a wounded comrade in Avdiyivka PromZone, Donetsk Oblast on May 12, 2018.
Oleh was born in Mykolayivka, Poltava Oblast in 1994. As soon as he finished medical college, Oleh enlisted in the Armed Forces and served as junior sergeant and medic with the 95th Seaparate Assault Brigade.

#Donbas, Avdiyivka: On the night of May 13, military doctor of 95th brigade was killed by shell fragment, saving a wounded soldier.

Russian mercenaries launch 63 attacks against Ukrainian positions in Donetsk, Luhansk and Mariupol sectors, 20 using mortar and heavy artillery.
2 Ukrainian soldiers wounded
Enemy uses latest weapons against Ukrainian army.The rockets have high-explosive warheads and leave large-diameter craters.
Enemy also engaged in large-scale campaign to plant prohibited anti-personnel mines in eastern Ukraine, including in the so-called "gray zone."

Denys Ostroushko was killed in the war zone on May 12, 2018 (exact location under investigation).
Denys was born on August 31, 1995, lived in Selidove, Donetsk Oblast. He enlisted in 2017 and was deployed to the war zone in autumn of 2017.

Serhiy Hondar, call sign “Tataryn”, was killed by a sniper bullet in the war zone on May 16, 2018.
Serhiy was 41 years old, from Kharkiv. Lived in Ivano-Frankivsk from 2000. He joined the army as a volunteer, and since January 2015 served in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He fought at Pisky, and other hot combat zones. Seriously wounded on December 25.2015 during a reconnaissance mission. After a rehabilitation period, he enlisted again. He was also an active participant in the volunteer organization “Galician Lions”.
Serhiy leaves behind his grieving mother in Kharkiv, his wife and daughter, and two children from his first marriage.

U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker meets OSCE reps and local residents in Donbas. Says that Russian-speaking residents want Donbas returned to Ukraine.
Ukrainian unit carries out crucial raid on the enemy rear near Maryinka. During short battle, seize three enemy mortars used by militants to shell Ukrainian positions.
