I see I'm not the first to make meatballs out of these; I dropped mine into simmering sauce, then cooked for 1/2 hr with the lid on to make sure they were done. Any excess water went to flavour the sauce, no shrinkage & they were delicious. Almost as good as my own home-made. (That's my story & I'm sticking to it lol)

I really like them so if I get a personal offer of something like spend x on boxed meat I might take advantage of it.
When I was at No Frills this morning, I also saw a sign under the PC Sliders for 6,000 bonus points between May 17 - June 21. There was a sign under the PC Rocky Road Ice Cream Bars (pkge of 6) for 2,000 bonus points, also between May 17 - June 21.

I fried mine in a pan. Since I'm keto, just added cheese to the top, some mustard, mayo, ketchup. Awesome bunless burgers. I was quite impressed with the taste!
(glad I got 9 boxes lol)

By comparison, lean ground beef tends to lose about 20-25%.

The difference appears to be primarily due to water loss. Water is listed as an ingredient, which means it's added to the actual meat. Seems like they add quite a bit.

I often keep a package of dinner rolls in the freezer to use as slider buns. They're somewhat firmer, which some people may not like, but I actually prefer. They're not round, but they weren't a bad fit for the PC sliders, which can also be thawed and re-shaped before cooking. When on sale, they can be had for $2 for a package of 20 or sometimes 24.

For me at least, they're not necessarily cheaper, not on a per meal basis anyway. These days, 8 Wonder burger buns can be had for $1 fairly often after the $1 printable, so 12.5 cents apiece. But I normally eat two burgers that size vs. three sliders. So the cost difference, if any, isn't much of a consideration.

I use rolls for two main reasons, both related to how I like to eat burgers. I tend to dress them quite a bit, so the firmer texture works for me, and I also vary my dressings, so sliders allow for more variety per meal.

@grinchyheart - I tried this for supper this week and it was good and leftovers for lunch the next day. A win in my books!

I'd suggest checking the 50% off bread cart at Loblaws if your store has one...I've found PC brand sliders buns with pink sticker the last several times I've been.

    Adorable lil baby buns :D
