It's less about ebay than it is about the individual seller.
Problem is the poster didnt link the actual seller nor the ad, so you cant be sure who is selling it, their rating, etc.
ebay isnt the seller, ebay is the place where the whole world comes to sell.
Regardless... I wouldnt trust it. $20 off is no deal if you get a dud card and you're out the $80 too.

There's no doubt it's risky...I did this deal a few weeks back, and the card number I got was legitimate. However never trust the 1800 GAP number to check your card balance. On more than one occasion it's given very inaccurate values. (Maybe it's quoted in US dollars??) It's best to test the card number at checkout online.

I also am a little worried about purchasing gift cards from an ebay source. A couple of years ago there was a scam running in my area. Gift cards were sold through kijiji. The buyer would checked the balance before taking possession and paying for it. Within hours the gift was was used in another city. So when the buyer went to use the card the balance was $0. The seller had disappeared. The reason is because the card number and the 'pin' number were both made visible in order to check the balance.

If you have a problem with the gift card deals that are posted you are more than welcome to search for them yourself. Or pay full price if you think 20% "is no deal". For your information this seller has a 1700+ positive transaction rating. I would never post something from Ebay if I didn't buy from this seller before. And your purchases are protected through ebay and paypal if you pay for them through that method.
I find your post incredibly rude and after today I will not be posting any more gift card deals I come across!
