Mykola Denysov died in the war zone on March 22, 2019 (circumstances under investigation).

Mykola was born on October 27, 1990 in Chernihiv. He went to war in 2014 as a volunteer with the 13th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade “Chernihiv-1”; fought at Debaltseve and was awarded the Order “For Courage”.

Mykola leaves behind his grieving parents and fiancée.

Dmytro Kosteniuk, a soldier of the 80th separate assault brigade from Chernivtsi, died from shrapnel injuries on March 29 near Shyrokyne in eastern #Ukraine after a mortar shelling attack by #Russia-led forces in violation of the Minsk agreements.

He leaves behind two children.

Canadian and Spanish frigates from the Standing NATO Maritime Group Two (SNMG2) arrived in Odesa today. Excursions on board the ships are offered to Ukrainians as part of the friendly visit.

During their stay in Odesa, the captains of the frigates will meet with the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and local authorities, will take part in the PASSEX exercises together with the Ukrainian Navy warships in the Black Sea to improve compatibility with the ships of the Alliance and partner countries

Yana Chervona, nom de guerre “Vidma” (Witch), was killed on April 2, 2019 when a 152mm mortar hit the dugout near Novozvanivka, Luhansk Oblast.


Yana was from Kharkiv. She was member of Kharkiv Self-Defense corps during the Revolution of Dignity and volunteer helping the Aidar Battalion on the front lines. She enlisted in September 2016 and served as gunner in the 46th Special-Purpose Battalion “Donbas-Ukrayina” of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

Yana leaves behind her grieving mother, husband and 2 young children.

Oleksandr Miliutin, nom de guerre “Ded” (Grandpa), was killed together with Yana Chervona on April 2, 2019 when a 152mm mortar hit the dugout near Novozvanivka, Luhansk Oblast.

Oleksandr was from Bakhmut. He served as junior sergeant in the 46th Special-Purpose Battalion “Donbas-Ukrayina” of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

27-year-old Roman Fedoryshyn, nom de guerre “Fedia”, died in a car accident near Avdiyivka on April 2, 2019.

Roman was born on May 4, 1991 in Khodoriv, Lviv Oblast.

An active member of the Revolution od Dignity; went to the front as a volunteer in 2014 with the 1st Separate Assault Regiment of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corp Pravy Sektor. Was wounded twice in the abdomen and head, but returned to the front lines near Avdiyivka. Awarded the Order “Volunteer Knight’s Cross”.

Roman leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter.

Russian mercenaries launch 6 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donetsk, Luhansk and Mariupol sectors, 4 using heavy artillery and mortars.

269 civilians, including 27 children, have been killed and 564 have been injured in landmine blasts since Russia unleashed the war in Donbas.

Russia has eliminated all classes taught in Ukrainian since its annexation of Crimea

Almost two years after the UN’s International Court of Justice ordered Russia to “ensure the availability of education in the Ukrainian language” in occupied Crimea, there is not one school teaching all subjects in Ukrainian.

A monitoring study by the Crimean Human Rights Group has demonstrated that the statistics provided by the Russian occupiers, do not reflect the true seriousness of the situation.

Oleksandr Bolotenko, nom de guerre “Hoverlia”, passed away in Kharkiv Military Hospital on April 1, 2019. During his service in Popasna, Luhansk Oblast, Oleksandr fell ill with pneumonia and was taken to hospital where he died of a stroke.

Oleksandr was born on July 15, 1978 in Kalynivka, Odesa Oblast; resided in Basivka, Lviv Oblast. A career officer, Oleksandr enlisted when war broke out, serving as commander in the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He fought at Svitlodarsk Bulge, Zolote, Stanytsia Luhanska, Troyitske, and Popasna.

Oleksandr leaves behind his grieving parents, brother and daughter.

Yuriy Farmahey was killed by a sniper bullet near Pisky, Donetsk Oblast on April 5, 2019.

Yuriy was born on May 6, 1972; lived in the village of Ohiyivka, Vinnytsia Oblast. He served as senior soldier and gunner in the 34th Battalion of the 57th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

Yuriy leaves behind 2 sons and 2 grandchildren. One of his sons serves in the Marine Corps.

Negotiations for political settlement of the war in Donbas must continue in the "Normandy format", German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas says.

Enemy militant of 100th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of Russian occupation forces detained in Donbas as he attempted to carry out mission of sabotage in rear of Ukrainian forces defending lines in Kurakhivsky sector.

About 150 U.S. Soldiers with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) will deploy to Ukraine in mid-April. Their mission will be to advise & assist Ukrainian armed forces in developing Yavoriv Combat Training Center located in western Ukraine.
