Yesterday (DVD) 8/10 the Google searches made me smile.
All is True (DVD) 9/10 This is the part of Shakespeare all high school English classes need to see!
The Farewell (DVD) 9/10 Talk about pressure within families. The wedding I never want to attend (poor groom, all those cups, and the bride who cannot follow most of the conversation)2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Late Night (DVD) 9.5/10 Mindy Kaling's writing is amazing-so many zingers and insights (especially when she (Molly) has to respond to insinuations she's a diversity hire). Emma Thompson provides the drama and more!
Shaft (DVD)-10 for the 1970s feeling but maybe 5 for the script. Lots of swearing.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Cats ( 8.5/10 )
Since neither DH and I ever saw the play, nor did we even know what the story line of this was ....all we knew was that " song " from overplay on the airwaves. So it was pretty good we thought...comical and beautifully emotional. Yes I cried at J Hudsons' performance.
Jumangi ( the next level ) 10/10
We are easily amused maybe? DH and I laughed out loud many many times.
Kevin Hart! Dwayne!! The two Danny's ( Glover and Devito ) ...so good!
Star Wars ( The Rise Of Skywalker ) ( meh? whatever! ) Stupid late shows!
The 5 of us got in free.... those la-dee-da reclining chairs and a 3D viewing, ( thanks to my Scene points ) ...however, I fell asleep! AGAIN! ( a previous Star Wars film I did this in as well )
So annoying that I am a morning person, surrounded by 4 night owls.
During the over 2 hour film, I'd say I managed to glimpse an hour of it ( off and on ) and every time my DD had nudged me awake, it was during another freaking blow up or fighting scene which bores me to tears!! No wonder I fell asleep.
The family had serious mixed feelings about the film...discussions were had and I understood NONE of it.

@walkonby -ooh, those reclining chairs sound perfect for movies after the popcorn is gone during preview trailers and the other blather on the screen! I read spin-off books based on the first three Star Wars Movies (episodes 4-6) that George Lucas produced and Ben sure was not the name of any one of three kids that the book Leia & Han had. So I had cognitive dissonance when I saw Ben in the film. If you had read a book with Mara Jade in it, that will explain the origin of Ben.
Must admit that Rey had some tough action scenes--and she only ever has that one outfit on for all the challenges she meets.
Now, if The Child from the Mandalorian (aka #BabyYoda in Disney+'s streamed series) had been in the The Rise of Skywalker, concession sales for any plush #BabyYoda would have exceeded popcorn sales. Yes, #BabyYoda is the cute creature everyone wants to cuddle--even though said entity is 50 years old (and has amazingly human tot-like appeal).2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Hustlers 10/10
DH and I really enjoyed the story. Yeah there were boobs everywhere, but ya know? Set in a strip club, so.
Hats off to J-Lo!! What a performance, same with the Mom from Fresh Of The Boat.

Hustlers 8/10 - I didn't buy Constance Yu's performance as a stripper. She was the wrong choice for that part, IMO. Jennifer Lopez, however, was great.
Ad Astra - So shocked that Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones made a movie that was this boring

If you get a chance to watch this 2008 DocuMovie Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, I would recommend it. May not be to everyone's taste, but if you are a fan of, or interested in Gonzo Journalism, it is well worth the watch.
