I got an amazon order with some stuff for my husband and my keurig k-mini coffee maker in oasis. (I payed a little extra for the colour. I wanted red but it was a lot more expensive.)

I also got a 20$ cheque from caddle

I finally saved up 5000 scene points for a date night to see a d-box movie with my husband. But since the theatres won’t be open for quite a while a I cashed out for a 50$ ultimate dinning gift card. I had to call in my order because the e-gift card didn’t have a security code. But I got the family meal with an extra whole chicken (5$ with coupon code from an email) and 4 bottles of pop. The whole thing was around 11 out of pocket including the tip. It was our lunch and supper for a family of 4.

Canada Post is delivering; business as usual.

You will receive a notification card to pick a package up at your retail outlet if 1) it has a customs fee on it, 2) if it is liquor or pot products (where you have to show valid age ID), or 3) if it is unsafe to safe drop (leave at your door) - i.e. no access to your building and you don't have a parcel locker box or 4) if you got it shipped directly to the retail outlet (by choice or PO box). 1), 2) and 4) will go directly to the retail outlet, and they will not attempt to your door.

I know there are some delays from the shippers. I ordered a package off amazon prime at the very beginning of April. It had a guaranteed 2 day delivery, so I ordered it. Then after the 2 days, I got a notice (from Amazon) that they were concentrating on essential deliveries only, and that my order was going to be shipped by late April. It ended going out around the April 14-15.
I also have ordered shoes for my kid as they have outgrown their running shoes in the last month! It was sent from the shipper, and said it was in Mississauga on the 12th, and was to be delivered on the 13th, but right now I haven't received it, and it still says it's in Mississauga. I did read however that sadly, 8 Canada Post employees have tested positive for Covid-19 at the Mississauga plant. So I imagine that is part of the delay while they clean in there.

I feel for these employees having to risk both themselves and their families to go out delivering every day. I know my postie was telling me that her employer hadn't even provided them with gloves until a few weeks ago, and they were told to go out and find their own. None of the depots or plants or trucks had been cleaned, and the posties were having to use their own supplies to clean their own work stations and trucks. I hope that has changed since. (she did say they finally got gloves)

Thanks @SarahS83 for the postal plant update. Think a lot of parcels are clearing through there and the holiday weekend of last week probably delayed parcels even more.
