THis morning i made a small pot (4 serving size) of turkey bone soup from the leftover turkey from who knows when that was in the freezer. I simmered the bones so that the meat came off easily. Then added some diced celery, chopped onion, diced carrot, 2 cloves of garlic minced and about 7 peppercorns. Didnt even need any noodles because there was so much turkey meat left on the bones. Just had a couple of saltines with that.

Family will either have this as a late lunch or early dinner
Rea brand sausages all browned up and set in the covered dutch oven to stay warm, mashed spuds and choice of pork 'n beans or corn niblets.

KD! I rarely eat it but felt like it today for some reason. Hopefully DS will eat some since I can't store KD leftovers in the fridge. Gross!

On her days off work DD's been clearing out the stockpile, trying to use up any canned goods that are near expiry ( or passed it )
She made up a very large pot of " soup " yesterday, which I thought was homemade, but truth truth be told those cans she had tossed in to start it ( various chicken noodle ones ) were not as salty as I expected.
She diced in fresh celery, onions, green beans and herbs, added more flat broad noodles, extra cartons of the No Salt chicken broth and some spices.
We'll all be eating a bowl of soup every day for lunch and maybe even more at dinner till this pot is gone.
I love the kitchen help I'm getting!!
