Hubby is scheduled for his second cataract operation on Oct 7th. Hopefully he will get it before things start shutting down here in the Monteregie area of Quebec. We are on the South Shore of Montreal.

I saw the retinologist today. He took the stiitches out of my eyeball (he froze the eye first). Told me the operation went well, and the healing process is going well also. I can start driving again, and i have another appointment in 2 weeks (hopefully nothing closes). And depending on the results in 2 weeks, i might or might not need another surgery. Depends on what i dont know, i forgot to ask because i was surprised i might need more surgery. Something to do with the retina being larger than the good eye which makes me look kinda weird.

Hubby has his second surgery and all went well. Imagine, he has worn glasses all his life and now with the cataract surgery he doesnt need to wear glasses. Only to read, so he bought some readers at the pharmacy.
I go to see the retinologist on Oct 13 to find out if i will need more surgery. Hope i dont but .........

I saw the retinologist yesterday and i will be needing another operation to fix something that went out of kelter when the gas bubbles were put in to stop infections. Anyway, doc said the operation will be done in hospital again (apparently more secure, thats what he said) and the operation wont be as hard as the first one. I will be getting only a topical freeze and not a needle between the eyeball and the cheekbone. After that everything should be fine. Hospital will call with the date and time of surgery.

The hospital called and my second surgery for the retina is scheduled for Oct 23rd. The doctor wasnt fooling around when he said it would be within 2 weeks.
