My new house is about triple the size of my rental townhouse, so I have a lot of extra space to decorate.
My daughter is a hobby painter now, and does amazing work, so I buy her art supplies constantly and “commission” her for paintings to compensate for what I spend on her art supplies.
Having so much extra space, I needed to decorate around her art. Yesterday I bought a beautiful beige chais lounge off of Kijiji for $125. In almost brand new condition, I used the money I received for selling my old freezer to go towards it...which beautifully matches the glass and whicker coffee table I got last week from Habitat for Humanity for $5. So, I now have an amazing corner section in my living room for everyone to sit at to read books or relax at for around $75.
Just waiting for a free French Armoire from my mom to finish it all off!

No major clothing finds this year except the George black and white short sleeve top in summer by chance. Not finding much in apparel for me. Even the coats are disappointing.
Electronics-finding the quirkly mini-USB to USB cables at Oakville's Value Village this summer for $2.99!
Still have that 20% off coupon waiting to be used by the end of the year at Value Village.

what's your experience like with shopping at Plato's closet?
today a local location had stuff a bag of clearance items for $5. I got excited and went there at 3:30pm and the employee pointed at the 3 rack (smaller circular racks) and said those are the clearance items and any yellow tag. I grabbed a bag. Checked out the racks she pointed to earlier and found they were all XXXL and larger clothes and mostly winter clothes. So I browsed other racks and found zero yellow tag. So disappointed. I returned the plastic bag and left. I noticed several other shoppers also were hold empty bags as they hunt for yellow tags

I did not go into Value Village last week when I was near my local store. Kind of frazzled with changes in the local thrift store.
Would like to spend an hour going through the remaining 3 boxes of clothing at liquidation store for any summer tops or pants at $5 apiece.
I hadn't seen anything particular last month in Talize when I looked at the sale items of the day as well as short and long sleeved tops for women. Would like to see Habitat for Humanity store on Stonechurch Rd E for any clothing finds. Store is only open to 5pm so that will put off some who are not available during daytime hours. Not sure if I can do the Burlington store on Appleby Line as it has quite a range but I have to go through racks and I tire quickly now.
Not sure what I might find but the sorting is like being a kid with a wire cage full of patterned balls and looking for all the different designs!

A $4.49 stationery bag of misc items contained a 50ct package of Staples 4x6 photo paper.
Someone's souvenir photo from a cruise ship with a few cards and envelopes had to be tossed out. Did get a Niagara Fall fridge magnet, 150 pg three ring binder paper package and magnetic weekly list with working dry erase marker as well.
Talize had this find, after my futile search for blue and yellow tag items to get 50% off clothing items ( my items all had purple tags, so the stayed on the racks.
There was a usb a headphone set with fixed microphone attachment and a settings/volume box. Despite being just under $10, the headband part was mostly worn/ragged so I did not buy it. Can get more sleek version for around $23 new before taxes at Staples.
