my aunt given me 6 big mason jars of her homemade famous fruits ketchup chow chow,3 medium mason jars of zucchini relish and 1 medium mason jars of marinated beets,she is a sweetie to me and my father !!!!
The goal is to live day by day not to much thinking hahaha !!!!
I love to save money!!! Frugal life hahaah !!!

Not canning (yet!), but a garlic scape ferment is on the go.

@TrueNorthTreasures have I ever mentioned how much I admire your skills? From your dedication and hard work in the garden to the processing and no waste approach to the harvested veggies. Bravo That relish looks relishing!! Yummy.

Thank you, @walkonby - you are very kind! I am no expert, but gardening and canning are two of my favourite things to do, so a lot of time and energy gets directed to those things. Truth be told, they're a bit of an "escape" from my day-to-day. Positive distractions that I wish paid the bills!

Way behind on canning this year with 2 family weddings and a funeral in 2 1/2 week period. So far only pickles have been canned but I bought my first box of 25 lbs of tomatoes so tomorrow is stewed tomatoes day. Then veggie soup, potatoes and applesauce. Not sure what else will get done this year.
