Bobby Rydell passed yesterday.
I used to love the movie Bye, Bye Birdie, but never knew Bobby Rydell was the one who played the heartthrob entertainer in it? ( Hugo Peabody )
Ann Margaret was so adorable in that movie. Rest in Peace Bobby!!

that is true @Shwa Girl , but Aflac fired him back in 2011 because of insensitive tweets he posted about the Tsunami in Japan. They eventually found another voice actor to take his place.

Oh geesh, I never even heard this announcement and I always seem to have some sports station on 24/7?
I did watch the tribute the other night to Mike Bossy who passed on April 15th. though.
We are saying goodbye to too many of the great ones that we were so fortunate enough to have watched on the ice. They entertained fans young and old!

I won some tickets to our local hockey team’s game on Saturday (April 23rd). Before the game started they had a memorial for Guy Lafleur on the big scoreboard in the middle of the rink. They talked a lot about his records and accomplishments. It was very nice and thoughtful. Afterwards they had someone sing Oh Canada and then started the game.

I'm shocked and saddened by this passing of Naomi Judd. 76 years of age seems still too soon and too young, now that I am getting older.

I won't pretend this one doesn't cut deep because losing Ray Liotta is about all the sadness I can take in one day.
I have always enjoyed the various roles he has stepped into and portrayed with gusto! ( far too many of them as a tough guy ) when really his teddy bear persona shines so much brighter.
