sd Im so sorry ur hubby put you through this. Horrible to be in the motel so worried and not knowing what is going on.
My dad was a gambler, but I was too young to really know. Now if he has gone out for too long or has alot of money we all worry he will go back to it. I guess we will always have this fear in us cuz it is a scary addiction people, lie, steal and beg for

Thank you all so much it would of been a lot harder to sit here totally alone but I had you all. My friend in florida wants me to come stay with her for awhile and not let him know where i'm at but i can't do that. He'd end up in the hospital with his ulcer bleeding and whats the point. It would just be vengeful and wrong to worry him like that. Not sure what to do she wants me to leave him so bad but I can't make it on my own someone would have to help me my meds cost me too much to be able to get them and eat much less a roof over my head. Now isn't the time to think about that anyway, I'm tired and upset. No i don't think he'll stop gambling despite anything I do not at this point he has to do something really horrible like he did last time coming home several hundred dollars broke, not a penny to his name. At that time he had a job that paid a whole lot more. Now he couldn't spend more then a hundred and even then he probably wouldn't be able to do that. He pays the bills before he even gets his check, pays them online and dates it for the day he does get paid. Most times by the time he'd be able to go gamble he's got less then $100 to his name and his credit cards are maxed out. Course last time we went thru this he was doing pay day loans. Back then he'd tell me how much he spent, he's never been a liar but I know darn well he's been lying about what he's spending and I've never doubted him like that before. Tried to sleep I can't really need to cuz he won't be sober enough by the time we leave to drive. Some idiot is right outside our door talking on his cell phone loudly, doors are banging, cars and car alarms its a zoo here I hate motel 6's. THank goodness I was able to get wifi, charge $3 for 24 hours.

I don`t suppose you could put your DH on an allowance?

My dad was never a gambler, but he had no sense of money. He could go through money like it was burning a hole in his pocket. So my mom took charge of all the finances, & put him on an allowance (he knew better than to take any money out of the bank without permission). On the plus side, he learned how to save money - if he wanted a new toy (mostly electronics), he`d either get me to ask for something for xmas or he`d skip buying coffee & bring his lunch until he had the $.

Do we have bakers in the SC house? I found "Snowballs" recipe -
