@Frugalbigmama I had one of the crap grand ams in the late 80’s and I vowed to never ever buy a Pontiac again. It had the engine replaced and still had issues. But on the other hand I am die hard Ford driver, bought my Edge new in 2014 and the 1st real repairs were this year. DH has the Escape but that is because his dad gave it to him once fil stopped driving.

Sadly I think when it comes to cars a lot has to do with who deal with. We do not deal with our local dealership and they do not have a good reputation but the dealership we deal with is usually right on top of recalls. Notify us when parts are available and make sure all recalls are taken care of. The last recall on my car it was fixed before I even got the notice because my car went in for service, they had the parts and did the repair.

Was worried about our BBQ as it started raining at 11:30 but only rained for about 5 minutes and cleared up. We were able to enjoy the BBQ. Luckily the smoke also was not too bad today.

On the way home I ran into RCSS to grab buns for Mom, they seem to have the best price. I also grabbed a load of Fench Bread, Cherry Tomatoes and a Zucchini. Yes, one Zucchini, Mom wants to make herself some grilled veggie sandwiches.

I had a serious craving for Garlic Bread so I used part of the French Loaf and pulled some Cheese Tortellini from the freezer, topped with Classico Roasted Portobello Mushrooms Sauce and cheese. So quick and easy but so good.

@Shwa Girl it makes it more of a pain but if I have to I will. I sent another text and this time I reiterated the same rule and now I WILL be leaving immediately if I arrive and they’re not well of any sort AND they will be billed. I also added that if they aren’t willing to do this we would unfortunately have to part ways.

    Thanks @walkonby . I needed that.
@barbis9 I really hope that either it’s nothing with your truck or at least under a recall warranty. When it rains it pours sometimes.

We were on our way out of town for a few days so I called the dealership and told them to pick it up and take care of it. They tried to refuse and said that the wires were draped over the top that someone did that. I advised them that it would have been them since that is the only place that ever worked on the car.
After calls to head office they were told to fix it. I couldn't wait to get rid of that car!!!
@Frugalbigmama I also had a Pontiac Grand Am, well two and the second one was a nightmare! It was a Quad 4 engine, that I called quadriplegic because one of the 4 cylinders stopped working in the middle of an intersection (so scary). Apparently it was the worse engine that GM made at the time. I got rid of is asap after that. Constantly in the garage, every single month. Never will buy GM again.

@lilo0003 what a coincidence! I had a 1986 Grand Am and than 1994 (super nightmare). The Edge and Escapes have a better reputation than Explorers (which I am told improved after 2017). I have a 2013 that has industry known issues.
