Well, no luck with the snow blower.
Old gas removed, new gas & oil mixture added, spark plug changed (thanks to a neighbour - I just couldn't do it), plug is wet, so gas getting to it, there is a spark, there is exhaust, but it just won't start.
I give.

If plug is wet then you have flooded it.
Remove the spark plug and dry it off. Try and use something, even a curled up kleenex to remove any gas from the engine compartment.
Let it dry out thoroughly. The re-insert the dried up and cleaned and dry spark plug back onto the engine.
Only give the engine one dose of primer and try starting it again.
Can I ask you again to give me the make and model number of your machine so that I can research it further.
We'll get this machine to work, trust me.

Yes, it has an electric start, as well as the pull cord of course. Tried both.
The electric start, push button, is sooooo much easier !!!

Hicks , take the cap off the spark plug and hold it about an 1/8th of inch away from the plug and try to start the mower.
Do you get a gap spark to the plug from the spark plug line??Last edited by zfurman; Mon, Dec 31st, 2012 at 04:06 PM.

If there is a spark then the plug etc should be okay, the plug may have gotten wet from the little amount of gas (flooding), there just might not be enough gas to ignite the engine. If electric start then there could be an issue with the battery, electric cord or ignition system. The snowblower should have a pull start cord. Don't know if they tried pull starting.
sorry didn't read all the previous posts..
Carb problem? have you taken apart the the casing around the carb, it could have attracted small rodents to build a nest...happen to me in one of my cars..where the mice build a nest around the carb (they like gas).Last edited by Owdatoon; Mon, Dec 31st, 2012 at 04:14 PM.
