My frugal post/brag is a late one. Just settled today.
Rental car a little while ago. First car= grinding sound. Underneath, back part dragging on the ground. Second car= turn on the engine and the flat tire symbol comes on. Manager found a car that could be driven. This is the second time at this rental place. Both times= very bad cars. But, we had no choice both times. Called them. The person was useless. Called next day. the person read from a script and sounded like she was not well. Went to the rental place and got 12.5% off. Weird discount. But wait. There's more. Already talked to Costco travel/rental. Their investigation took a lot longer. Costco gave another 12.5% off. Another weird discount. So 25% off.
Don't ask. Don't get.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Well, Mom is now also sick, which I guess is to be expected, but still sucks, I always worry more about her getting sick than myself ever since she got pneumonia and now everything goes to her chest.
Right now, I just want to get a good night sleep, I thought last night was the night but nope, maybe tonight.
I had been looking at mucinex online because I feel like this has moved into my chest. I was talking to a coworker this morning her family has been so sick between sinus infections, tonsillitis, bronchitis and pneumonia and she said it the only thing that has helped. I looked online and my SDM was out of the one I wanted but decided I would take my lunch early and run to Wal-Mart. I am a bit careful with what I take because if it does not mention sinuses then I risk the cold going away but ended up with a sinuses infection (thank you sinuses that hate me). Also hate going out when I am sick but small town living no delivery.
Since I was going to Wal-Mart I ran into Food Basics for Lemons because the Honey & Lemon is flowing right now also grabbed Grapes, Limes and Milk.
I have cancelled all my training for the week so now I can just work remote and get rid of this cold.
Also trying to do laundry, I have reached the stage where going up and the down the stairs I feel like I am suffocating but we are getting it done because the baskets are overflowing.
Happy Tuesday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

It's the time of year where if I go out I have to decide when I get back home if I am in for the night and park in the garage. Don't like being in and out of the garage all day long... so just went out to bank and FB and then decided I am home for the night lol. Guess I am getting old
Can't just pick up pesos at the local bank...have to order them. Money exchange place is 45 mins away...not sure I am going to be there before trip. Such a simple thing not so simple. Guess I forgot that is what we did last time we went to Mexico (4 years ago...Covid craziness basically started the day we left for home)
Picked up a package of lean ground beef (No frills across the road from bank so always pop in and take a look) Grapes and Salsa (FB) for DS. He has 1 on the go and I bought 2 for the cupboard. To go with the tortillia chips I bought him on sale last week (4 bags!) That should keep him snack happy for awhile.
Thinking dinner is a fend for yourself tonight and I will make the pasta tomorrow night.

@coupon girl , I agree with training but as a trainer I also see how hard it can be. I appreciate trainees who will be honest when they do not understand something vs the ones who just say yes to everything.
This year I have focused on adding new areas to our training so I can ensure our staff understand and can process what I am teaching before they go back to working in their branch. As a trainer this is always one of my biggest fears.
Although you would think since it was there error they could give you the points.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Found a case of Western Family potato chips in RCSS. I took one to the manager and asked, 'When did you start carrying this brand from Sav-On Foods?' She said that they didn't and was perplexed. Odd how they must be sharing the same warehouse with Sav-On. I kept one bag.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Good Morning Everyone,
Oh the one thing I want the most eludes me, I do not know what it is about this cold but sleep is just not happening. It isn't just that cold is keeping me up, oddly I am not super tired and when I go to bed at night I am not ready to fall asleep. Last night I wasn't cough or anything but just wasn't falling asleep, UGH.
I am finally starting to feel like the worst is over and I am starting to get better. Now I am just waiting to the congestion to get better.
Mom is now super sick and I feel so bad, she was only on day 1 yesterday but already was struggling so hard. This morning she said she hasn't slept yet as she cannot stop coughing. I gave her some stuff hoping it helps and she can get some sleep.
Hoping we are both better by the weekend so I can deep clean this house and get rid of these germs.
Time to try to find my focus which is not easy right now and push through some work stuff.
Happy Wednesday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Morning! Sunshine and blue skies! Will get out for a walk today for sure.
I just took 3 bags of tomatoes out of the freezer and put them in a pot on the stove on low. By the end of the day I will have sauce
Still need to do laundry but today does not feel like the day either....just not motivated to do it but hopefully I feel like it later today. I may do it at the laundromat and then I will get my walk in downtown while it is washing...I think that is the plan!
Upcoming sale flyers- See some things I will pick up for the kids to plan some easy meals for them while away next week.
Will make taco meat and have all the fixings for that so they can have that for 2 days (both love them)
Have a great day!

@lizzie bargain - Thanks!! Leave early Monday morning.
Dinner is done. I just ate and it was good! (I tend to eat a late lunch/early dinner around this time during the week)
Its ready for the others to heat and eat when they finally get home.
DS texted me asking if I could go pick up an office chair for him on the side of road near our house (it wouldn't fit in his car)
So I went right away before it was gone. It is like new! He wanted it for his music studio so I will deliver it to him tomorrow.
I did 1 load of laundry and will hang it up to dry now. Will do another load probably 1st thing in the morning. Decided I don't want to go to the laundromat since I am feeling like a homebody...the down fall of working from home somedays I find.

@Frugalbigmama can you order currency online through your bank? Cibc offers delivery. https://cibc.intelliresponse.com/pub...gn+Cash+Online
Cibc cancelled its prepaid card that could be loaded with 10 currencies. The bank originally offered five curencies but customers had to get a separate card for each currency. Then the bank offered one card that could be used for 10currencies.
Btw, Cibc is now offering a free one year membership trial with Skip the Dishes- the email came today."This is the Way." The Mandalorian
