I spent my afternoon shopping for baby and toddler apparel and accessories. Carters Osh Kosh has lots of promotions on certain sets or lines. Skip Hop toys are 25% off but the local store did not have the toy I originally wanted.
Also tried a few coats at Marshalls and looked through clothing racks. Found a new to me activewear line, Spyder, that has tops of interest worth a return trip to try on. Also visited the nearby Winners for other clothing. Was stunned to see 70s style Tupperware bowls with the pleated square lids but colours were solids or pastels, not the dark golds of the 70s. Plus a nesting Tupperware bowls set in solid colours. Did not find a particular baby outfit on the racks. Ventured over to Indigo for several minutes. The baby and toddler clearance section is mostly toys in 3 areas. Baby apparel is limited but still worth looking at but some sizes are limited in quantites.
Spent time in Staples for stationery needs, clearance deals and figuring out where the Brother P-touch tapes were relocated to. Note most tapes are the Tzoe ones, not M tapes in-store. Pop cooler had some pop marked down 50% as products expire in early December. Bought one drink that kept me hydrated all afternoon.

Popped into Sport Chek for toddler socks which have two sections. I would missed one section if an employee had not pointed out a second endcap while I was in family hosiery.

Then I got home and saw the Sport Chek mailer for tomorrow's 25% off regular priced items sale.

Sliced breads and buns both brand and store names are on recall for metal contamination. Check freezers in case you store loaves or buns there.

I just bought No Name cracked wheat bread yesterday but it is not part of the recall. The whole wheat variety is on recall.

With regard to currency exchange-the other day I was in my local Co-op and surprised to find an ATM dispensing 4 different currencies. US, Euros, Can $ and I did not notice but think the 4th one might have been British pounds. Looked very convenient to me and I will check out their exchange rate next year before I head to England and Malta. You always need some cash to pee in Europe-such a pain!

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
The good news, I slept last night, the bad news I feel worse today than I did yesterday. Yesterday I felt like the worse was behind me time to move forward, today I seriously considered not doing today.

I had to run to the Pharmacy to get more nasal spray (small win, I had a refill on file, yay!!!!!).

Well I was out I stopped into No Frills to grab Peameal for Mom, it has been awhile since I have bought her any. Well I was there I also grabbed Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Mangos and Price Matched Blueberries (Freshco) and Broccoli (Food Basics).

Honestly, all and all I did not find much in this week's flyers but happy to get some fresh produce. We have hit the time of year where it is all the seasons stuff which we really do not buy.

Although I am feeling worse I am having a good work day, knocking out all of the things which makes me happy. The last few days have not been my best as I have felt like I cannot put a thought process together. But today I even tackled writing a manual so things are looking up.

    Happy Thursday Everyone.

ty @Ciel21 We were SOOO lucky! I usually have a few different brands and varieties of loaves in the freezer. There are none atm. This is because
I went carb free ( iykwim ) as in no breads and white foods mainly. DH also said he was eating less bread so not to buy any for him. DS loves the
inexpensive pitas and Naan breads so that is about all we had in our breadbox.
    Dodged a bullet this time.

    Morning and TGIF!

Wet damp windy day here today.,

Went for a walk last night by the town docks and it was so nice and quiet.

Today- Busy work morning and hoping to have my project done by noon. Then the afternoon is free to deal with whatever comes in before shutting down for vacation mode!

I have a tray of lean beef to make into taco meat at some point today. Wanting to pop out at some point and pick up a few sale items and then figure out meals for the weekend.

    Have a wonderful day!

I’m done work and getting an extra long weekend .

Today’s plan is to get some baking done as we have a memorial for a friends husband and I offered to contribute some baked goods. Then I go back to PT to work on my leg and try to use up all my benefits for the year. Then only some light laundry/cleaning.

I do have to research some bedding prices to compare to Black Friday prices and also a men’s winter dress coat for Dh. I want to make sure I’m getting the best deal possible.

My semi frugal deal this week was an anniversary gift for my brother and SIL. Finally after 8 years of not having a relationship, it was their anniversary so I decided to make them a his and hers gift basket. My brothers was scotch themed foods ( he has the most insane scotch room with hundreds of bottles, etc) so this was all I could do without duplicating what he has). Hers is pretty self explanatory.

His basket was one I had in storage from our previous house, hers is a reused gift box I had, all the filler/ribbon was from my craft stash so I made the bows, the chocolates ( 3 different kinds) were on sale at Costco and I have lots leftover for another gift, and the food stufff was all on flyer sales so not bad. Roses were not on sale at Costco but I do get 2% cash back

Brisk and breezy Friday brings the fall weather more typical of November!

    Will tackle leaves tomorrow.

Did visit Value Village last night for a long rack session. Bought three aprons and a cowbell. Pants-really need a fitting room to know size fits. Saw Spyder bottoms in activewear. I had seen that brand of activewear tops in Winners plus a winter jacket. Thought it was just a new activewear line. Coat assortment at VV was different from last month's. Still have today left to use 30% off coupon on clothing.
Went through my local Winners infant apparels racks trying to find a pant in certain colour and size. Did see a pant in a boy's set. Will return to Carter's today for one of two pants in the store.
After a long session at Winners, I did buy a greeting card. Got charged the regular price rather than clearance price. I did not say anything when paying but I have to pay attention at cash next visit.

Fortinos has Pilsbury monster cookies on clearout for $1.44 and some packages have the coupon for 50 cents off seasonal cookies attached on left front of package. Coupon blends in with package so make sure to point out the yellow corner of coupon. My cashier two days ago needed my help to get coupon as she could not see it. I have one package to bake tomorrow prior to that raking session...

Today is that bonus Triangle Rewards day for $150+ shop day at Canadian Tire. Load and activate your TR offers before you shop.

Keep your mugs filled with warm beverages, everyone!

@harbie You have a fabulous eye for those gift baskets! Any prospect of getting a side job at stores to make baskets for the next 4-5 weeks?

November 11-Remembrance Day. Some stores start businesses at 12pm. In Ottawa, that is the bylaw.

Businesses and other places that open earlier tend to hold a minute of silence at 11am and during Reveille.

Rona+will offer a 10% discount on most merchandise that day to Canadian veterans or active servicepersons with valid CF id for that day in stores.Sa2 offer in the current digital flyer.
