That sounds like a cool app @Angela273 . I'll check it out

I had a good fitness day for a change. 2 outdoor walks and stationary bike.

Managed to get in 12,000 steps which is kinda rare

aww, @Angela273 I know how tough that decision was to say goodbye to your elder cat. Our Claudius turns 17 at the end of January and he is now on 2 meds and is so darn skinny.
He is so affectionate and compliant when you pick him up, he is often like a rag doll surrendering to whoever wants to hold him. Enjoy sweet new Dice! Sadly the picture of him wouldn't load?

Did a mini test yesterday after work. While I haven’t “technically” been given the green light to return to running I haven’t been told lately that I couldn’t run so……….. I ran .

I took it slower than normal but did 2 miles (3.22 km) after work yesterday. Boy could I tell I haven’t run in forever! Phew my legs were so heavy at first but luckily it didn’t last too long. It felt good, no pain . I ended my workout with the posterior stretching machine and was back up to 95-100 degree stretch so YAY! It felt good.
My injury is a tiny bit spicy this morning but I expected that so I’ll stretch and rest it. Upper body strength tonight. I’ll leave the lower body alone for now.

Glad to hear you're back to running but be careful and take it slow. Posterior stretching machine...oh my that sounds good...didn't even know something like that existed! You are are inspirational @harbie .

Today was pretty good, I started today's walk in old leggings with holes from Giant Tiger and my cellphone in my pocket in case my "motivating brother called" which he did. So here I was, with a phone in one hand....my cane in the other with my dog dancing around trying to get me to lift my cane so he could jump for it and a full poo bag. I have to admit that I certainly didn't look like one of those cool athletic people with ear buds talking to themselves who usually run or walk by my place . I managed to somehow waddle through almost 1 km and then my dog "who was no calmer"...headed down to the basement to play. After about 15 minutes of playing fetch...my dog finally settled into relaxing. I then hopped on our cheapo "Marcy recumbant bike"...(best buy we ever made! btw) and turned on my IFIT streaming program and virtually escaped to Japan cycling alongside a famous cyclist for 25 minutes. After that, I returned upstairs and was reminded that I forgot to push the "start" button on the coffee machine....

I'm really enjoying this thread and the motivation you all bring. Let's keep it going!

That’s fantastic @crafter . I long for the day when I look like those carefree runners but alas that probably won’t happen. Oh well, just gotta keep pushing through.

After work yesterday I did a short 3 km vest walk as I was EXHAUSTED and felt it was better than nothing.

I'm off today so the plan is 3 times to the gym . Actually it’s once this morning (7:30am)with my dad ( he goes in the pool and asked if I’d like to walk over with him), then at noon with my mom to help her on the treadmill with her knee injury (dr.s orders) and lastly when Dh gets home at 4pm for our full workout.
    Wish me luck

Wow @harbie you're certainly making good use of your gym membership. What a nice way to spend time with your parents. I go to a ukulele session and spend time with my Mom today.

Well, it was raining here so not much of a walk. Then down to the basement to play with my dog and then I stationary cycled for 30 minutes (virtually in a Bamboo forest in Japan). I'm down 2.6 lbs from my high weight spike earlier this week...

Hubby and I have decided to bring our walking pads we picked up down to the basement instead of trying to incorporate them into our living room decor lol. They work pretty well for basic walking...(not something suitable or runners though) . Have a fun day at the gym!

Happy to see this thread active!

So much walking last week while away on vacation. Returned back late Monday night and back at work Tuesday morning so busy with that and housework but still getting steps in. This weekend will get to the gym (thinking tomorrow morning early to start the day).
I have weights/ball and kettle bell in my office and take breaks to do them when I am walking in and out of my office all day. Every little bit counts!

@crafter it definitely helps that it’s literally a 3 min walk from our place .

So my mom canceled as she has a headache but I went with my dad. I did a complete upper body workout with some core.

Started with posterior stretch 90-95 degrees
    Lat pull downs
    Tricep push downs
Seated rows with a personal best weight load for me today
    Pull-ups
    Tricep dips
and finished with vertical knee raises for core burn.

I'm debating between leg day only or another light run for tonight’s workout. Guess it depends on how my tendon feels.

Every journey begins with a single step and movement is medicine. Those are my favourite quotes when it comes to working out. @Frugalbigmama you’re so right. Every bit helps .
I'm starting to love kettlebells too. Farmers carry/walk as SOOOOOO good for you, plus they’re great for squats too.

You could try walking around the office with them.

Getting a cup of coffee? Carry your kettle.
Going to the restroom? Bring your kettle.

You don't need to do it every time but, like you said, every little bit counts.

I had twin boy join me for part of my workout until Dh got home with our other two children. I did some weights and core exercises while he used our stationary bike. I’m currently on the stationary bike while everyone else is chilling upstairs.

Last night was leg day. The best part was the gym was super empty! Love it that way.

Today will most likely be weighted vest cardio and arms and back but we’ll see how it goes.

55 minutes in the gym. Extra sets of all arms/back and chest.

    I'm done.
