Morning!
Had to drive DS to work this morning. His battery has been giving him trouble that last week. Will take him after work to purchase a new one ( and will advise we send him the money from RESP money since we have shelled out to his brother many times for vehicle maintenance)
Have a homemade mac and cheese in the oven! Once I pull it from the oven I will wash up all the dishes and then I am done cooking for the day lol
I shredded the cheese using the ninja blender! Saw a video of it and worked like a charm.
Going to shower once kitchen is done and then get dressed for the day. Will hit the gym and then some running around.
Have a great day!

Hey Gramma Santa! lol. @coupon girl your g-kids are the main event as it should be. When girls start asking for clothes at 11 years old instead of the latest toy or tech device that is a wonder I bet? Bless her is right! Plus she probably knows just what fashion items she wants and will wear them willingly, not like the times we struggled to get the kids to wear things I bought them.....lol. I was way out of touch but not even aware back then.

So this week has been BUSY! Now I’m in the time frame until Dec 31st of being booked solid (and then some
) with work.
We saved $1300 today. Dh took the car in for her oil change (yes our car is a girl
) and we needed to get new tires before winter. Instead of the usual 2 and 2 we're at the point where we need 4
. Our mechanics gifted us 4 basically new tires! A customer of his got new tires and then a month later his engine went and chose to just scrap the car and our mechanic took it. Since these tires were brand new almost he saved them for us! Only had to pay 1/2 hrs shop fee for installation. $80.
Now I’m roasting up butternut squash and garlic for tonight’s soup for dinner.

Happy Frugal Black Friday.
A couple weeks ago, black Friday month deal, $3 off a 4 pack of furnace filters. So breathing better when we are indoors more and more. So furnace works better, as we change them when needed. Home Depot.
Last week got a deal on batteries. For the flashlight. For the smoke detector. For the toys and such. Everybody and his uncle seemed to have a deal. But Costco won. Smoke detector batteries go on sale there once per year. So we will know when to get out if there is a fire.So we have the flashlight to guide our way when we have power outages.
btw, the flashlight is huge. Costco last year. Second clearance. If necessary, it can be used to hit a burglar who may somehow get in. Weighs 2 pounds. Very bright too. 7000 lumens. May temporarily affect burglar's eyesight as we get away. lol.

TGIF!! We have snow! Had to drive DS to work for 7am so I shoveled when I got home.
Kind of looking forward to a weekend stuck at home (in town) because of snow.
I just took out a family pack of lean beef from the freezer and will make into taco meat. DS will love tacos and mac and cheese tonight- his 2 favs.
Have a pretty quiet work day so hope to get my office organized/cleaned finally. Just sipping my coffee and then will make my action plan.
Have a great day!

We had replaced all the smoke detectors in our house 2 weeks ago- they are all linked and gives this mama peace of mind! The one we had off the kitchen always went off when cooking (I was starting to feel bad about my cooking lol) and the kids would take it down late at night so they didn't wake the household.
The new one hasn't been set off by the kitchen yet!! (they were all re-tested 2 days ago by the installer)
One less thing to worry about!

Still waiting for sale on last smoke detector to replace at home. Updated my Cdn Tire offers. Just stalling on errands today. Did see a few flakes swirl down but no layer of snow.
I know I did not post gift cards yesterday. Rexall is including Apple and One4All gcs today only in their $250 gift cards promotion. The rest of the week does not include Apple."This is the Way." The Mandalorian

I really must look like a homeless person.
I walked past one homeless fellow, while I was draped with several plastic bags, and he said, "If you're looking for something to eat, the Hope Mission van is over there."
I thanked him for his kind referral. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Someone is looking out for you.
Reminds me of Sam Walton. He started Walmart. Then Sam's Club warehouse was added (like Costco). He sometimes dressed in denim overalls and drove an old Ford pick up truck. At that time, he was worth about 1 million dollars. Walmart and Sam's Club is worth738.55 billion dollars. As of Friday.
So, are you are Sam Walton in disguise

Good Morning Everyone,
Oh my gosh what a week but I do expect anything less.
Wednesday I was in a branch working with staff on my way home I ran into Costco to get the stuff we needed but I forgot Milk and Eggs. When I got home I was trying to put everything away and start dinner and I wasn't paying attention and tripped over a grocery bag. Down I went and smashed up my knee and I was freaking out because I had a busy end to my week.
Good news was I woke up, it was sore and stiff but I could bare weight, do the stairs so off to work I went to meet with a customer and another trainee. Then I did the local grocery shopping on the way home since I needed Milk and Eggs.
Last night we had our Christmas Dinner for work. It was a fun night, we had a wonderful time.
When I got home I saw the Costco Hidden Deals were posted, I had a feeling it would be this weekend and it was, they had Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast on sale and I am almost out of Chicken.
This morning I ran to Costco, grabbed 3 packs of chicken breasts, they also had some leftover Cooked Chickens for $5.99 so grabbed one of those. Also found a few other things and grabbed those. Well I was there I picked up some stuff to drop off at our various drives happening in our branches. I had already grabbed some toys previously but needed to grab some food for the food drives.
Now I am trying to talk myself into getting all the things I need to do done. I have house work to get done, food to prep, work to get done but I kinda want a nap so I think another cup of needed and we will see where that takes me.
Happy Saturday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Dh and I went to the mall to check out what dels they had on phones. Mines not new but not old either but the charge doesn’t keep as well so I’m starting the process. Turns out there’s going to be a way better promo towards the end of January when the new S25 comes out so I’ll wait.
We looked at a few other things we kinda need but still chose to walk away for now. I’m normally going to make a rush decision.
Dh did buy me some new headphones since mine are going from 60% battery life to 10% in 15 min max. He bought those for me a long time ago and wanted to upgrade me to ones I’ve been eyeing for a while. Such a sweet hubby I have.

@harbie you are braver than I go going to a Mall. On Friday we were done decorating the venue for the party early and bunch of staff were staying in hotels overnight and the one they were in was across from the Mall, just watching the traffic going in and out made me anxious.
When I went into Costco on Saturday the cell phone Kiosk was insane, just trying to get by it was hard so many people were waiting and I got their right at opening.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
