What a day. Found an unopened box of abandoned MilkBone treats in the Walmart parking lot. So, I scrounged it for the neighbourhood dogs I meet on my daily treks.

On my way into RCSS, I was crossing the street and saw a red jerrycan in the middle of the road. I thought I would help out traffic by moving it to the garbage. It turned out to be a full 10L (25 pound) can of gasoline.

At RCSS, I found a fellow looking at the clearance rack for curry powder. He had four containers (about 250g each) for $0.54 each. I persuaded him to take the remaining two. We chatted and he agreed that it doesn't ever go bad and it was long-dated to Jun 2026, so he had plenty of time. He convinced himself that even if he had to throw a couple out, $0.54 wasn't much sacrifice.

I found 17x 369mL cans of tomato paste for $0.54 each. Sigh, and the bounty just keeps on rolling. I also found 20x 2-pound bags of couscous for $0.62 each. I've never cooked it, but what could go wrong with pasta?

I humped the entire 90 pounds 3km home. Haven't done that weight in years. I am knackered.

Happy Wednesday! The snow is snowing!
Just shoveled the driveway but one small part at the end I am leaving for DS. He is our snow remover this winter. I did as much as I could. (heavy chunks of ice!)
Space enough for us to get in and out of driveway without having to drive over it.
Will go out later this afternoon and shovel the newly fallen snow.

Hopefully once I am finished my coffee I will find some motivation!

    Have a great day!

Popped out to the bank to deposit 6 months worth of expense cheques. Had to put them in one at a time because stacking them did not work.
Popped in No Frills and bought 2 packages of cheese.
Walked up the street for a little walk but the snow was really coming down so thought I better get home.
Shoveled the driveway when I got home.

Really really wanted french fries from a place in town. Decided to come home and pop fries in the air fryer and make gravy on the stove.

Chilly weather is beginning to stick around. Glad I had ventured to Penningtons for 40% off sale for gloves, hosiery and nightshirt on Monday.
My book order seems to be stuck in the US, so I have an alternate title to get to add to gift box this week. The first book will get passed on whenever it arrives after the postal strike.
The Kikkerland Travel Buddy kit with interchangeable charger ends-the cable itself is very short so it'll work for phone lying flat next to a laptop or the usb c hub for the tablet, but I would need my phone stand to access Usb port on library computer. Happy for the sim tool but I still have to pry it out of the clips to test if the rounded end can push my phone's sim card out of its slot.

$4.99 Terry's chocolate oranges remain on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart for one more day. Toffee flavour is certainly delicious.

Last week, I managed to get a Fortinos flyer while visiting the customer service counter.

I love the beef taco filling inside the McCain Pockets but the dough tastes awful. Happy it was on sale at Giant Tiger last flyer.

The mini food chopper/processor worked for first bean dip making session. Second time, it seemed I could not get it to puree. Apparently I really have to press the button as much as possible to get device to workk. I used the potato masher to good use for the second batch of dip.
Snow has been small flake or powder form, so it is not overwhelming. Skin however seems to doing its cold version of thermal shock that when I am skipping moisturizer after a shower it feels like itchfest all day long.

We have school closures . Most of the city is shut down. I shoveled earlier and will go out later.
I will consider that the majority of my exersise today. I've been exercising every day. So far have lost 38? Lbs so much more to do . But 1 lb at a time
Work will / should be done early. So I will sort the big freezer downstairs.... I've been working on cleaning it out. A good inventory is definitely needed.
And a good chicken breast sale. Lol.

Ok. Off to work . Enjoy!

Morning! School bus service canceled today as well for a 2nd time this week.
Was really hoping to get out and about today but will have to see how the weather is later today.

DS cleared the driveway at 10pm last night...Needs to be done again today. Will leave it for him to do after work.

I need fresh air. Not feeling motivated so thinking I need out. Will finish my coffee and then bundle up and go for a walk. That should help.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning Everyone,
We did get snow overnight but sounds like compared to other areas we got off easy. Will have to shovel and clear off the cars at some point.

I have to admit I am in a bit of a winter funk already. Looking at the apps and seeing snow everyday has me wanting to hibernate and hide from the world.

I made the mistake coming home from work on Tuesday that I took the backroads thinking we hadn't had snow in 2 days it would be fine, nope snow covered so I took it slow but those around me were driving like it was clear dry roads.

I have to be honest, the older I get the more of a fair weather driver I become and dislike driving in snow.

We did get Mom's winter tires on yesterday, no word on my car yet. Mom wanted to cancel her appointment but told her we needed to keep it so if need be I can take her car until mine gets it's winter tires.

Need to check the milk situation, might have to run out for groceries later today. Will also need to shovel but for now I am working on all of the inventory mysteries for work.

    Happy Thursday Everyone.

Not fun looking at the forecast showing snow/squalls for everyday! I don't like driving in dark, rain, snow, sleet, wind or fog lol..
